But when it comes to accessories, these two are the same. Purchase the V8 and you'll get a mini motorized tool, combination tool, crevice tool and soft dusting brush. The V6 Animal comes with the same four tools.
There is a set you can buy called the Universal 4 Piece Dyson Tool Set. It looks like this below. That fits all Dyson models but not the DC05 motorhead, DC08, DC11, DC15, DC18, DC19 standard, DC20 and DC21.
Dyson has launched a “Fluffly” cordless vacuum cleaner which it claims to be the next step in cleaners with a soft paint-roller-like brush. The new brush head is covered in a soft, padded nylon, interspersed between traditional bristles and is designed to be much more effective at picking up fine dust.
Cleaning Head ComparisonFor everyday cleaning, the Dyson V8 comes with the Direct Drive cleaning head while the Dyson V11 comes with the upgraded Torque Drive cleaning head. The Torque Drive cleaning head is the newer model and offers 25% better performance over the Direct Drive head (according to Dyson).
The Dyson V11 Animal's dustbin capacity is 25.6 fluid ounces. Batteries on the V11 are 30.45 volt lithium ions whereas the V8 Animal comes with 21.6 volt batteries. So, even while the V11's more powerful motor requires more power, the V11 Animal runs for 50% (or more) longer than the V8.

While it's a Dyson, it's not a magic wand. That said, it'll tackle every residential low-pile carpet style with ease–berbers, Saxonies, and cut and loops–as well as every hard floor out there, including hardwood, engineered wood, vinyl, laminate, ceramic tiles, marble, bamboo, concrete, brick, and similar surfaces.
At first blush, the Dyson V10 Absolute looks like a standard wireless vacuum, with a thin and lightweight design. You can use it in that mode on both carpets and hardwood floors.
Turn on the V11 Absolute and you'll find that it isn't as loud as you might have thought. From head height, measured with the motorised brush in Eco mode, the vacuum comes in at 71dB. On standard mode it's 74.6dB, and on Boost it's a whopping 84.6dB.
The only difference is the number of attachments you get and the Torque drive version comes with an LED screen. The v11 torque comes with an extra attachment and has an LCD touch screen that shows you your battery life and allows you to change the suction power. They both have the same battery life and power.
