In Room 269 (room_mysteryman), a figure widely believed to be Gaster can be found. The figure is black and white with a distorted, cracked face. Despite this, Gaster has likely taken damage from the fall, as his skull cracked. But to speculate, perhaps Gaster isn't dead, or even missing. Just nobody could find him. Not even the player naturally can.
