When you restart a song, it will count as a play as long as 30 seconds are listened to. Skipping the last 5 seconds of a song does not hurt the artist. Offline listens are counted and sent to Spotify's server the next time you connect to the Internet. Yes, private listening mode is also counted.

Spotify Free
It's universally known that as a free Spotify user, you are free to discover favorite music. And play any song from Spotify with Internet connection. But there is no direct download link officially offered by Spotify, meaning that you are not allowed to enjoy Spotify music offline. How does Spotify work?

On Spotify Mobile, there is a 6 skip limit for free users, once those 6 skips have been used, the user waits an hour or selects another track and shuffle play since Spotify does not allow users to select what they want to play. I hope Spotify rectifies these issues so people on Spotify free can listen to music easier.
The first way to get Spotify Premium free is to create multiple email accounts to register new Spotify account, then use the account to try 30-day Premium plan for free provided by Spotify. Before 30-day Premium trial expires, please remember to cancel the subscription to prevent from being charged.
With the Spotify free plan, you can access all playlists, discover new music and share tunes with friends. Premium users can also skip any track, listen offline, hear high-quality music and use the Spotify app on their mobile device as a computer remote control.
