The Coyotes made the postseason in 2020 because of the expanded format with the restart of play. But beyond that, Arizona has not made the playoffs since the 2011-2012 season.

The top three teams in each division earn berths in the playoffs. The next two teams in terms of total points in the conference, regardless of division, earn the wild-card spots. This provides a total of eight teams from each conference. The top seed in each division plays one of the wild-card teams in its conference.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are the early favorites to win the Stanley Cup Final, according to BetMGM. The Lightning are -250 favorites to win, while the Montreal Canadiens are at +200. The Lightning opened the season as 10-1 favorites while Montreal opened 50-1, then 25-1 to start the playoffs.
In the 2018–19 season, the Golden Knights returned to the playoffs as the third seed of the Pacific Division. They were defeated in the First Round in seven games by the San Jose Sharks.

Wild, a previously upcoming PlayStation title from 2014, has been canceled according to an industry insider. As shared by VGC, journalist and industry insider Jeff Grubb recently stated in a Giant Bomb video: "I can confirm that the game is fully done.
Regardless of the outcome of that game, the Wild are locked in as the No.3 seed in the West Division and will open the first-round matchup on the road on Sunday at 2 p.m. (CT) on NBC.
