Instrumentation. The size and composition of a marching band can vary greatly. Some bands have fewer than twenty members, and some have over 500. American marching bands vary considerably in their instrumentation.
Band size refers to the size of the ensemble, including any color guard, twirlers, drum majors, and pit ensemble members. The different categories of size include 20 marchers or less, 21 to 60 marchers, 61 to 100 marchers, 101 to 150 marchers, 151 to 250 marchers, or 251 or more marchers.
The clinic fee is $275. Any clinics not having six bands registered by May 15, 2019 may be canceled.
The Band recruits from the vast New York University community, and welcomes all students, faculty, staff, and alumni to become members. Instructors encourage, support, and teach members at weekly practices to achieve a high level of playing ability.
