You can use Zoom on Windows 10 PCs through the official Zoom Meetings client app. The Zoom app is available as a free download here. After installing the Zoom app, launch the app and, click Join a Meeting to join a meeting without signing in.
Launch the Zoom app on your computer. Now, press the Join a Meeting button from the default screen. A pop-up screen will appear that will ask you to enter the Meeting ID or the Personal Link Name to join in a meeting. You'll now need to press the Join button from the screen to join the meeting.
Windows | Mac
- Open the Zoom desktop client.
- Join a meeting using one of these methods: Click Join a Meeting if you want to join without signing in.
- Enter the meeting ID number and your display name.
- Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and click Join.
Installing Zoom (Android)
- Tap on the Google Play Store icon.
- In Google Play, tap on Apps.
- In the Play Store screen, tap on the Search icon (magnifying glass) located at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Enter zoom in the search text area, and then tap ZOOM Cloud Meetings from the search results.
- In the next screen, tap Install.
Hosting a Meeting
- Open your Zoom app on your desktop and click Sign In.
- Log in using the E-mail and password that you have created, or with Google(Gmail), Facebook, or Login with SSO.
- Click the downward arrow and select Start with video, then click New Meeting to start an instant meeting.
How To Download And Run Play Store On Laptops And PCs
- Visit any web browser and download the Bluestacks.exe file.
- Run and install the .exe file and follow the on-
- Once the installation is complete run the Emulator.
- You will now need to log in using a Gmail ID.
- Download the Play Store and you are done.
Downloading Zoom on an Android phone or tabletStep 1: Open the Google Play Store (icon pictured below). Step 3: Click the green “Install” button. The app will download, and when it is finished, you will know because where the Install button previously was, there will be a green “Open” button.
Step 1: Open Chrome or any other browser from your laptop or PC. Open Gmail and login with your Google account. Step 2: Next, you can open Google Meet on the bottom-left corner. You can start a meeting here and invite your friends and colleagues, to join.
To zoom in and out with a keyboard shortcut, hold CTRL and press the + key to zoom in.
Get apps from Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 PC
- Go to the Start button, and then from the apps list select Microsoft Store.
- Visit the Apps or Games tab in Microsoft Store.
- To see more of any category, select Show all at the end of the row.
- Select the app or game you'd like to download, and then select Get.
Lucky for you, while there are slight differences between Zoom on your phone versus laptop, the app functions sufficiently on each device, so you can't really go wrong. What it all comes down to is what kinds of features, beyond basic group video conferencing, you'll want to utilize.
Make sure that all other programs that utilize the camera are not using the camera or are closed. Restart your computer. If it does not work after restarting, uninstall the Zoom client and reinstall the latest version from our Download Center.
To instantly start a Zoom Meeting, click the orange “New Meeting” button found in the Home tab. Be sure to give the Zoom application access to the camera and microphone on your device. Once you have started your instant meeting, you can then invite other participants using the in-meeting controls.
Zoom app downloadsThe desktop app is available for Windows and macOS, while the mobile app is available for Android and iOS. In other words, the desktop app is more fully featured, although, if you're a free user, you can still get a lot of mileage from the mobile app.
Android
- Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
- Start a meeting.
- Tap Participants in the host controls to display the participants list.
- Tap a participant's name to manage a specific participant.
When you join a Zoom meeting, you will see a screen “Join a Meeting.” and a box with your name in it. You can change your name in the box before joining a meeting so that you maintain anonymity.
A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining Zoom Meetings as a participant. If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join as a participant without creating an account.
How to see everyone on Zoom (mobile app)
- Download the Zoom app for iOS or Android.
- Open the app and start or join a meeting.
- By default, the mobile app displays the Active Speaker View.
- Swipe left from Active Speaker View to display Gallery View.
- You can view up to 4 participants' thumbnails at the same time.
To join a meeting without installing the Zoom web app, you will need to log into your Zoom account and click “My Account” near the top right of the homepage. From there, you will click “Settings” on the left-hand menu and select “In Meeting (Advanced).”
Note: The Zoom desktop client, mobile app, and web client have different features than the Zoom web portal. The Zoom web portal is primarily used for changing your profile, meeting settings and Zoom Phone settings. You can also use the web portal to schedule, view, and edit meetings.
Zoom is available free of charge to anyone and the basic free version offers all the facilities most people will need. However, as with anything, you get what you pay for.
