Three ways to repurpose your unused lipsticks
- Use it as a blush. An old trick in the book, use your creme lipstick in red, peach, or pink as a blush by applying it on the apples of your cheeks.
- Use it as an eyeshadow. Work the gloss trend by using your liquid lip gloss (clear or glitter) on your eye lids.

If you have an expired eye pigment or shadow, they can be used to make great custom nail polishes. Crush up the shadow or pigment and add to a clear nail polish for a totally unique color. Mix shades together for something exciting, or use old glitter pigments for a gorgeous high shine polish.
Empty tubes of lipstick, shadow containers, mascaras, foundations, and more can be recycled—just not in the same batch as the plastic Dasani bottles in your bin. Make sure to look into recycling programs done by many makeup brands.
