Most of the game is narrated by Artyom with voice-overs during the loading periods. Outside of the narrations, Artyom is nearly always silent and (in many ways) mysterious. Artyom is now 24 years old. During most third person cut-scenes at the beginning of the game, Artyom's face is obscured one way or another.
After killing the Tsar Fish, a second roar can be heard in the distance. This suggests that there are multiple Tsar Fish in the area, and the one in the Terminal is simply the dominant one in its territory.
Ending E is attainable after you acquired Ending A,B C, D. Go to 'Chapter Select' to 'Tower' to '9S and A2'. Choose 9S and ACCEPT Pod's request, and save them. You will not get Ending E unless you beat the credits with your hacking unit.
Alyosha only gets wounded if you attack the Children of the Forest. In order to save him, and have him stay on your crew, you'll need to avoid killing any Children of The Forest.
To help Duke survive you have to:
- Escape from the Church unnoticed. After swimming into the Church, reach the upper floor.
- Steal the boat in the boat without killing the traders. Sneak and stun the traders.
- Reach the cult leader without killing his men. Inside the cult leader's headquarters, focus on sneaking.
Leave them be or knock them out. If you get into a firefight with them, run away or try and knock them out with melee. You CAN kill bandits, cannibals and slavers, BUT if they surrender DO NOT kill them.
Metro Exodus will not be the end of the Metro series. Dmitry Glukhovsky, the author of the original Metro books and narrative collaborator with developer 4A Games, revealed on his Instagram account that he's "working on the story" for further entries in the series.
Metro Exodus has two different endings depending on how you play the game. Getting the "good ending" i.e the one that's viewed as happier (although both endings have some sadness to them) involves playing the game as morally as possible. Only kill enemies (bandits, pirates, pioneers, mutants, cannibals etc).
Lance Corporal Samuel "Sam" Taylor (Russian: Сэмюел "Сэм" Тэйлор) is a character who first appears in Metro 2035 and returns in Metro Exodus. A former United States Marine, he joins Artyom's crew aboard the Aurora armored train and serves as Colonel Miller's personal bodyguard.
In the bad Metro Exodus ending, Artyom absorbs a fatal amount of radiation and dies despite valiant attempts to save him via a blood transfusion.
Hunter's fate is currently unclear in the continuity of the video games. He may have been killed, or he may have been taken by the Dark Ones as he is seen by Artyom in the Dark One's mind game in Ethereal. It is likely that Hunter survived in the video game continuity as he is one of the protagonists of Metro 2034.
Artyom's Son is a character in Metro: Last Light, seen only in the C'est la Vie ending. Artyom conceived him with Anna in 2034 during quarantine in Oktyabrskaya - thinking they were going to die from a virus, the two grew intimate before Artyom left to find the Baby Dark One.
To get the good ending in Metro Exodus, at least two of your friends must survive until the end. The characters that can die during the game are Duke, Damir, and Alyosha. At the end of the game, Artyom will need a blood transfusion - this requires more people to be present during that moment.
Bad ending - Artyom sacrifices his life and detonates the charges, which results in the destruction of the entire station. The Dark Ones do not come to Artyom's aid but, they appear in the final cutscene.
While there is no instant benefit of either sparing or killing Lesnitsky, killing him grants negative moral points and almost certainly guarantees the destruction of D6 during the C'est la Vie ending, while sparing him contributes towards the Redemption ending where Artyom alternatively saves D6.
Based on Russian novels and centred around an underground city of survivors following global nuclear war, the Metro games are atmospheric, incredibly detailed survival horror shooters with a distinct and oppressive vibe.
A sequel to Metro 2033 written by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, Last Light, is not related to his next book Metro 2034. Instead, it serves as a direct sequel to the first game, with the majority of the ideas created by 4A Games.
The Dark Ones (Russian: Чёрные or "black ones") are a sapient species descended from humans who survived the nuclear apocalypse and adapted to the new world.
No, it doesn't. You can't import a save into Last Light, and the game assumes that the "bad" ending of the first game is canon.
In the canonical ending to the game, Artyom rains missiles down on the monsters, only to realize that they were attempting to make peaceful contact. In the more positive, but non-canonical ending to Metro 2033, Artyom instead destroys the missile system, sparing the Dark Ones from obliteration.
Called the The Tzar Fish, it will interfere with your attempts to finish an important part of the story. You can shoot him for a year and he won't die, so don't waste your rounds on him. Thankfully, you also don't need to kill him—unless you want all the Trophies in the game, of course.
Duke will safely jump down to the Aurora with you (as seen in the image above). However, if you've killed too many of the Tsar Fish cultists, Silantius will instead order his men to fight to the death. Duke will get shot and you'll have to leave him behind.
With three actions per round, bleed attacks can melt down the Baron quickly enough. Since the boss can hide in any of four pods and move around during the fight, it's important to be able to reach any rank, so Hellion, Houndmaster and Flagellant are a good choice for this fight.
Generally, just don't kill everyone just because you can in Metro Exodus, and always pick the nicer options when you have to make a call. The open world nature of this game also means you can completely miss the opportunity to be good, which can also affect how things play out.
There are only a few enemies here - they shouldn't be a threat. A few accurate shots will be enough to kill them. Go to the lever and open the gate. Go down and get inside the boat.
