Hemet is known as the ghetto !!! Hemet is only a retirement town because it has many places for them to live and their neighbor may be a child molester.
Hemet is a fairly suburban town with quite a bit of crime. Has fun neighboring cities if the things in town aren't for you. This area has a poor community and there are not that much opportunity here especially in the job market. And makes me uncomfortable to even run because I live in a bad area.
The city is known for being the home of The Ramona Pageant, California's official outdoor play. Started in 1923, the play is one of the longest running outdoor plays in the United States. Hemet has been named a Tree City USA for 20 years by the Arbor Day Foundation for its dedication to the local forest.
