Do freshmen have to live on campus? In general, all freshmen must live in OSU housing. Living on campus is a great opportunity for new students to become involved in the university. Studies show that living on campus can result in significantly higher grades and make for a better all-around collegiate experience.
As part of Oregon State University's comprehensive First-Year Experience, first-year students, with very few exceptions, are required to live on campus. Living on-campus is an excellent way for students to connect with key campus resources and build community.
Residents at Oregon State University may bring cars to campus; they are required to purchase a Resident Zone parking permit from Transportation Services. These residence halls are within 1,000 feet of Resident Zone parking.

The OSU fraternity and sorority community is comprised of members of both men's and women's fraternities and sororities. While fraternity and sorority life at Oklahoma State University began over one hundred years ago, its impact continues to flourish on campus.
According the most recent data, the average new sorority member will pay $1,280 per semester. Some chapters have payment plans and additional scholarships – for example, my friend washes dishes to help pay dues.

Staff are permitted to own one pet (either one cat or one dog). Pets must have a temperament that is not considered a dangerous animal per the City of Corvallis Municipal Code Section 5.03.
Today, the system now has grown to a total of 13 National Panhellenic Conference sororities, 22 North-American Interfraternity Conference fraternities (IFC), six National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) fraternities and sororities and nine Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) fraternities and sororities.
