Today, we are excited to build on that idea with Smart Notifications, a free upgrade. We also added settings to customize price alerts for your positions, watchlist, or both, when securities move by 5% or 10%. Notifications can be sent via push notification, email, or both.
If you have already registered, then login and go to the "Dashboard". In the Dashboard, go to the "Stock Price Alert" segment. Now, in this section, you would find a search bar where you need to enter the stock name (as shown in the following image). Click on the desired search result.
You can configure your notifications in your app: Tap the Account icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. Tap the 3 bars on the top right corner of the screen. Tap Settings.

How do stocks work? Companies sell shares in their business to raise money. These trades are handled through a stock exchange, with a broker representing each investor. Many investors these days use online stockbrokers, buying and selling stocks through the broker's trading platform, which connects them to exchanges.

For instance, you can change the stocks displayed by the stocks widget by opening the Stocks app and editing your watchlist. To do this, open Stocks and then tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
Set notification preferences in Yahoo Finance for Android

Tap "Alert Frequency" and select among "Only Once", "Every Trading Day", "Every Week" and "Every Month"; Edit the specific time you would like to receive the price notification; Tap "Save" icon on the upper right. You will receive notifications of the latest price at specific time as scheduled.
