Smule has been churning out scores of popular music-making iOS apps for years now, but they've been notoriously gun-shy about bringing those apps to other platforms. As of today though, that streak has finally come to an end — the company has just released their auto-tuning Songify app into the Google Play Store.

Sound also travels from your vocal cords and other structures directly to the cochlea, but the mechanical properties of your head enhance its deeper, lower-frequency vibrations. The voice you hear when you speak is the combination of sound carried along both paths.
Air from your lungs is then forced out between your vocal cords, causing them to vibrate and produce the tone of your voice. When you lower your voice, your vocal cords are relaxed and more floppy. When you make your voice higher, your vocal cords tighten. As your larynx grows, your vocal cords grow longer and thicker.
People with a nasal voice can sound as though they're speaking through a clogged-up or runny nose, which are both possible causes. Your speaking voice is created when air leaves your lungs and flows upward through your vocal cords and throat into your mouth. The resulting sound quality is called resonance.
In the shower you are surrounded by hard, smooth surfaces that bounce the sound back to you. That gives your voice more power, turning up the volume. Because the sounds are bouncing around, some of them take longer to reach your ears. That stretches out the sound, making it richer and fuller, so you sound great, too!
