You can claim the leadership of your guild if your Guild Master has been offline for 90 consecutive days, and you are ranked second, third, or fourth in your guild roster. If you meet these requirements, check below to see how to dethrone your Guild Master.
You type "/glead <name>" where <name> is the name of the character you want to promote. They must be logged in at the time.
An active guild member can use the Dethrone button to claim ownership if:
- The current guild master has been offline for at least 90 consecutive days.
- They are guild rank 1, 2, or 3, and logged in within the last week.
A guild leader is considered inactive when the guild master character has been offline for at least 90 consecutive days. Once 90 days of inactivity have elapsed, a notification will appear in the Guild News & Events feed for guild members who are eligible to become the new guild leader.
Guilds may change their guild leadership through the "Guild" menu page in-game. Click "Manage" > Set Guild Master > Type in the new name > Click "OK". Exception: If a Guild Master has been inactive for more than a year, one member from the guild can request leadership be passed.

How to Join a Guild
- Access the Guild Menu from your More.
- Search for the Guild that you want to Join.
- Click Apply.
- Wait for the Guild GM to approve your application.
- Done! You now have a Guild. You will have to wait 24 hours before you can start Donating or Guild Questing with your new Guild.

Leaving a Guild
- Open the Guild panel (J key)
- Click on the Roster tab.
- Select your character on the list.
- Right click and select Leave Guild.
Leaving a Party – Tap on the party icon, and tap on the “Leave” red bar (on the bottom left of the window).

To leave the clan, talk to the clan leader again and pick [Leave]. There is no cooldown between changing clans so you can switch between them at any time.
