1 Ensure your latest mobile number is the same number provided to Maybank. Otherwise, call 1-300-88-6688 (Maybank) or 1-800-88-9559 (Amex) or visit nearest branch to update or register.
If you wish to change your mobile phone number for the MasterCard SecureCode® Service, you can do this within the Monese app. Once this is updated, the number will be automatically sent to the MasterCard SecureCode® Service. Please allow 24 hours for the update.
Use the customer service number printed on the back of your card to call your credit card issuer. If changing this information online, you will likely need to look for a section of the website marked “Change Address/Phone Number” or something similar.
Steps to register/update your mobile number at the ATM
- Insert the card and enter PIN number.
- Select 'Registrations'
- Select 'Mobile Number Update'
- You would see the message 'Your account number 91xxxxxxxxxxxxx is already registered with Axis Bank.
- Enter the Mobile Number you want to update.
- Re-enter the Mobile Number.
You may contact Maybank Group Customer Care at 1300 88 66 88 or +60378443696 (overseas) for OTP mobile number registration. Your OTP mobile number will be updated upon successful TPIN (Maybank Phone Banking) verification. Alternatively, you may walk in to nearest Maybank branch in Malaysia for further assistance.
Type ACTV (space) <9 Digits Activation Code> and send to 66628. Log on to Maybank2u. Select "Card Management" tab. Select the card to activate by clicking "Activate Now".
Activate Overseas Flag
- Login to Maybank2u.
- Select Card Management.
- Select Overseas ATM Facility.
- Select Activate from the drop down list.
- Key in the Start Date and End Date.
- Select Request for TAC button.
- Key in the TAC number.
- Confirmation Status will be displayed and SMS will be sent to you on the status of the activation.
Online Purchase with Visa Debit
- Step 1 : Login to Maybank2u.com and select Maybankard Secure Online Shopping Registration. Select "Utilities" function.
- Step 2 : Complete the enrolment process by entering the following information :
- Step 3 : Successful registration notification message will appear once registration is successful and complete.
Step by Step Process:-
- Go to 'Profile' tab.
- Click on 'Personal Details' link.
- Enter profile password.
- Display Name, Email ID and mobile number registered in INB will be displayed.
- Click on the hyper link 'Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre)'.
There are three ways to update your mobile number in your savings account without visiting branch: a) Internet banking, b) SBI ATM and c) Phone banking. To use these options, it is mandatory to have a debit card. You must be registered Net banking user. Click on 'My Account & Profile' and select 'Profile' option.
What is access number? Access number is only given to customers who doesn't have an ATM, Debit Card or Credit Card but wish to apply for a Maybank Phonebanking access. You may proceed to the nearest Maybank branch to apply for an access number.
Can I change my mobile number for TAC on CIMB Clicks website? No. For security reason, your mobile number can only be registered at CIMB ATM (local mobile number) or updated via Customer Contact Centre at +603 6204 7788 (overseas mobile number). Visit the nearest CIMB ATM to update your local mobile number.
How do I request for TAC if I'm overseas? You can request for a TAC at Maybank2u.com and it will be sent to you by SMS if you have pre-registered your mobile phone number at the Branch before leaving the country.
You need to deregister your DuitNow ID and go to a Bank Islam Branch to update your Mobile Number. Then, go to Bank Islam Internet Banking to re-register your new mobile number as your DuitNow ID.
A Push Notification is a new and secure way of delivering transaction alerts. Push Notifications are sent via the internet and will pop up on your mobile device via the Maybank App.
If you've forgotten your M2U username and password, here is what you need to do:
- Click on the "Forgot Username/Password" in M2U home page.
- Key in the required fields.
- Click "Submit"
- Your username will be displayed.
- Key in your new password and confirm your new password.
- You can now login to M2U with your new password.

Why are my Maybankard Visa Debit transaction declined? Insufficient funds due to withholding of the pre authorisation amount at Petrol station, Hotels and Hospitals. Transaction amount(s) are more than the daily purchase limit set which is defaulted to RM 500 per day.
If a merchant is 3D Secure compliant, you will be able to see the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode logo on the site.
Select the 'My Bank Accounts' tab. Then select the 'My Cards' tab. Click on the 'Activate Now' link in the 'Online Secure' column. You will be sent an OTP via SMS or email.
4 Simple Steps to Apply via Maybank2u
- Login to Maybank2u.
- Click “APPLY”, then click “CARDS”
- Click “INCREASE NOW” at “Increase Credit Limit”
- Fill up all the details and upload your latest income documents.
If you forgot the debit card PIN, you may be able to find it on a letter that your bank sent around the time you got the card. Otherwise, you'll need to contact your bank to find out which options they provide for recovering or changing the number.
- Under 'Quick links' on the home screen, tap 'Cards'
- Select the debit card you want to view the PIN for.
- Tap 'View PIN'
- Enter your debit card's expiry date and security code, and select 'View PIN'
- Your PIN is displayed on your screen for 30 seconds.
