Open Ableton Live, click "Options, and open "Preferences". In the preferences window, click "File Folder". Hit "Rescan" to rescan plug-ins. Note: You may need to "force rescan".
There are no settings (apart from velocity) stored within Push, it is all sent from Live so no, there is no reset.
Uninstalling Live (Mac)
- Launch Live, open the Preferences and go to the Library tab.
- Open your Applications list in Finder and remove the Live application by dragging and dropping it into the trash bin, or right click and select "Move to Trash":
- Locate these hidden files and folders and delete them entirely:
Saving a new Template Set
- Load the Live Set you want to save.
- Go to File > Save Current Set as Default to save the Set as the default Template.
Once you've created the Live Set to your liking, open the Preferences > File/Folder. The shortcut for it is Ctrl + , (Windows) or Cmd + , (Mac). Click on the 'Save Current Set as Default' button to save the current Live Set as the default Template.
If you want to delete all manually mapped MIDI controls, go to MIDI mapping mode and click on one control in the browser left, click ctrl+a (or cmd+a for Mac) for selecting all and then backspace or delete, then all is deleted at once.
Defaults exist also for Audio and MIDI channels, allowing you to set a default input or output and even an included instrument or effect whenever you add a channel. Right click on a Channel Header and choose Save as Default MIDI Track or Save as Default Audio Track respectively from the context menu.
You can navigate to the Template folder in the User Library and open a template, or double click on a template from the Ableton Browser. When the template loads, it will have no song name. You have to save the template as a new project (song) in the 'Live Recordings' folder.
Method 2: Uninstall Ableton Live via Apps and Features/Programs and Features. Look for Ableton Live in the list and click on it. The next step is to click on uninstall, so you can initiate the uninstallation.
The User Library is where all of your own presets, defaults, clips, default Live Sets and more are stored. The User Library is separate from the Core Library content so that it can be easily backed up or shared between different Live installations or computers.
Removing your account removes your identity, all personal data, and your ability to log into this community. Any agreements you've digitally signed will continue to be available.
Once your project is being saved, the files are kept. The easiest way to delete them is to choose "Manage Files" from the File Menu/ Manage Project, then show the unused samples and delete them in Live´s browser.
Yes, we would suggest uninstalling the trial after it expires. If you have purchased Live after using the trial, check out our recommendations for installation.
Once the trial expires, you can uninstall it:
- Windows guide: Uninstall "Ableton Live Trial" using Add/Remove Programs.
- Mac guide: Trash the "Ableton Live Trial" application from the Applications folder in Finder.
The manual says that (on Windows) Port 2 means Push is in User mode.
You can enter User Mode by pressing the User button on Push. This will switch off Push's regular functionality to allow you to create your own MIDI mappings (as you would with any regular MIDI controller).
