Fix 4 – Move Option 2
- In Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista, hold down the “Shift†key while right-clicking the program in the taskbar, then select “Move“. In Windows XP, right-click the item in the task-bar and select “Move“.
- Use your mouse or the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the window back onto the screen.
You can do this by pressing Alt+Tab until that window is active or clicking the associated taskbar button. After you've got the window active, Shift+right-click the taskbar button (because just right-clicking will open the app's jumplist instead) and choose the “Move†command from the context menu.
To center an app window, you have to tap the Shift key three times, consecutively. The shortcut should not clash with any app on Windows 10. This app is especially useful if you have apps that consistently open off-screen because it has an option to automatically center new apps/windows that you open.
A dialog box usually contains one or more controls (child windows) with which the user enters text, chooses options, or directs the action. Windows also provides predefined dialog boxes that support common menu items such as Open and Print.
For example, to hide the active window, press SHIFT + CTRL and then press \.
