Click "Warranty Status." Type in your service tag and then hit "Go." You will see all of the information regarding your laptop, including the ship date (manufacture date—month, day, and year), type of laptop, and warranty information listed on screen.
Click on the Start button, right-click on "Computer" and then click on "Properties". This process will display the information about the laptop's computer make and model, operating system, RAM specifications, and processor model.
You can find the model number of your Dell laptop on the laptop identification label on the bottom of the computer. You can also locate it on the boot screen, check the Windows System Information utility, or visit the Dell support website for a tool that can help.
Monitor Clean Back InitiativeThe stickers will now be hidden on a card that tucks in on the left side of the monitor above the USB interface ports (Figure 1). The serial number, Service Tag (if applicable), and model number information will be located on the front of the card.
STEP 2: Find the Dell Service Tag or Dell EMC product ID, This can be found on the backside of your Dell Laptop or any Dell product. Enter the Service tag or Dell EMC Product ID and Submit. STEP 3: Your Laptop Model, Service Tag will be listed. Along with the Warrant Details including the Ending date of Warranty.
If the Computer icon is missing from the desktop, simply click the Start orb, right-click on Computer, then click Properties. The “System Information” screen should now be displayed. Look in the “System” section for the computer's model number and the amount of installed RAM.
This can be tricky with some laptop brands and model lines. Usually you'd find this information beneath the laptop on a label or sticker. You may also find this information on a display sticker located on the laptop's palmrest area.
How to find your Computer's System Specification
- Turn on the computer. Find the "My Computer" icon on the computer's desktop or access it from the "Start" menu.
- Right-click the "My Computer" icon.
- Examine the operating system.
- Look at the "Computer" section at the bottom of the window.
- Note the hard drive space.
- Choose "Properties" from the menu to see the specs.
- You can but you would require the power adapter.
- First, make sure the power adapter is connected to the wall and is switched on.
- Next, hold down Ctrl + Esc keys together and plug the power adapter in while holding the keys down.
- Once the system powers on, release the Ctrl + Esc keys.
Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK. Click Dell Factory Image Restore. In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next. Click to select the Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition check box.
Various problems can cause system performance issues, such as: Fragmented data on the hard disk drive. Outdated drivers for internal components or external peripherals like docking stations. Outdated or corrupt operating system files.
To wake up a computer or the monitor from sleep or hibernate, move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard. If this does not work, press the power button to wake up the computer. Note: Monitors will wake up from sleep mode as soon as they detect a video signal from the computer.
If your laptop won't power on, even when it's plugged in could have a faulty power supply, battery, motherboard, video card or RAM. Check the laptop's battery and power connector to make sure the connection hasn't come loose. If it's still not turning on, it could be a problem with an internal component.

How To Reset The Dell Battery Sensor
- Completely power down the laptop and remove the cord from the computer.
