Having said that, I would say Hearthstone is not very far in the pay to win direction. You can get a tier one deck without either paying money or grinding excessively. As such, paying is still an extra, giving you extra possibilities (more good decks to choose from), but not really stronger ones.
In some cases, maybe, but in general, no. There are multiple things protecting Hearthstone from being pay-to-win. Hearthstone games are won mostly through player skill. Not only during play but in the deck-building as well.
If you don''t feel like playing, stay out of this game since it does not seem to get any better. Also, it can be quite expensive to keep up with new content if you want to experience the game to its fullest. So it's really up to you if you're into that kind of stuff. If yes, it's definitely worth it.
No it doesnt. Ben Brode literally said if Hearthstone stops growing, it dies. The term dying in this sense always seems overly dramatic to me because people always talk about it as if it means the game will continue to decline forever.
A single pack costs 100 gold coins (in-game currency); alternatively, players can purchase multiple packs at a time using real-world money with volume discounts; for example, two packs cost $2.99 (€2.99 or ₤2.99) while 60 packs cost $59.99 (€69.99 or ₤59.99).
Since the release of Tactical Evolution, all booster packs that have a Holographic/Ghost Rare card, will also contain a rare. Current sets have 100 different cards per set.
Hearthstone has three resources that allow players to add cards to their collection: Experience, Gold, and Arcane Dust.
- Experience. Experience is earned through leveling up each of the nine Heroes.
- Gold. Gold is the primary in-game resource in Hearthstone.
- Arcane Dust.
- Tutorial.
- Practice Mode.
- Play Mode.
- Arena.
Play standard if you don't mind being exactly the same as everyone else. Play Wild if you want to at least try to win with nonmeta cards… against usually the same, sometimes different deck-cores than Standard has…just supercharged with supporting cards. Example Big Priest.
Dusting Wild cards is terrible for the long-term, considering it is the fate of every expansion to eventually make its way to Wild. If you keep dusting, you'll lose more and more value over time from the terrible return-on-investment.
If you can't see any wild cards, it means you need to play a brawl where there are some wild cards being played (you don't need to finish the game, just see a wild card being played then you can leave) so you can unlock the mode.
The 'Mass Disenchant' option allows players to automatically disenchant all triplicate cards in their collection with one click. The only limitation to crafting lies in the required amount of Arcane Dust. While it is not possible to purchase Dust directly, all cards obtained through card packs can be disenchanted.

With Halloween lurking around the corner, Blizzard Entertainment is bringing back 23 Wild cards to the Standard format to shake up the meta for some holiday fun. These cards won't remain in Standard forever and will return to Wild with the next major update.
Hall of Fame is a Wild format card set. This means that Hall of Fame cards are only playable in Wild format matches. The set is formed by taking away cards from other sets to merge with its own set. So far, only cards from the Classic, Reward, Promo, and The Witchwood sets have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The Wild format, or simply Wild, is one of Hearthstone's two game formats, the other being Standard format. Wild format appears in game modes in which players are allowed to play decks without the deck restrictions of Standard format, allowing the use of cards from any card set.
Upon reaching Rank 25, the player earns 2 Classic packs and 2 packs each for the most recent four Hearthstone expansions. Players cannot lose stars in these ranks. A player can choose to skip over the "new player" ranks and start at Rank 25, but then they will not get the associated card packs.

Galakrond was an immensely powerful being as well, arguably the most power individual drake to live, but the power required to take him down compared to Deathwing At the height of his madness isn't quite equal. Galakrond was not stronger than Deathwing.
His mutations were caused by cannibalizing on other proto-dragons, and as a by-product of his absorption of the proto-dragons' life essence his victims came back as undead, called the not-living.
