Today, Amazon announced a new equalizer (EQ) feature for the Echo that will allow you to adjust the way your music sounds when it's played. There are a variety of ways you can ask Alexa to change the EQ, like “Alexa, turn up the bass,” “Alexa, set treble to maximum,” and “Alexa, reset equalizer.”
To do so, swipe down on your screen and press "Settings." Go to "Sounds" and enable "Equalizer." You'll be able to adjust your settings from here.
A simple cable to hook up the Echo Dot gives it superior sound quality and add streaming service be it Prime Music or Spotify, TuneIn or more to your existing Hi-Fi or amplifier.
If you experience persistent audio problems, such as inconsistent volume, try unplugging the device for about 10 seconds and plugging it back in. If your Echo device is hooked up to speakers that are currently playing at a high volume, Alexa may not recognize your voice or commands as well.
You can change Alexa's voice on an Amazon Echo speaker by changing her accent or selecting a different language. Keep in mind that changing Alexa's accent to one other than yours might make it harder for her to understand your commands. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
Drag the slider bar to adjust the volume.
The slider bar is at the top of the screen. Drag the slider bar right to increase the volume of the alarms, notifications, and sounds. Drag it to the left to lower the volume of the Alexa sounds.Echo is caused by the repetition of a sound. During a conversation, the reflection of sound from the headset or speakers can cause echo. It also occurs when you use low-quality devices. The low-proximity of the microphone to the speakers may also lead to the problem of echo.
Now that Alexa lets you send messages and make calls, Amazon has introduced two new colors for notifications: green and yellow. A pulsing green light indicates an incoming call. A spinning green light means you're currently on a call. A pulsing yellow light is telling you that you have messages in your inbox.

- Use a paper clip to press and hold the Reset button at the base of the device.
- Wait for the light ring on your Echo device turns orange, and then blue, which will mean the device has reset.
- Wait for the light ring to turn off completely and then come on again.
Just go to the Alexa app and select remove notifications under Amazon Shopping. To remove the green light, simply turn on the "do not disturb” mode to keep the Echo from waking you up for any alerts.
Poor connections won't make your Alexa work. As a result, facing issues like Alexa not responding, Alexa Slow to Respond or Alexa not responding to voice commands becomes very common. In short, if your Alexa Echo or Alexa Echo Dot is not connected with the Wi-Fi, it won't respond to any voice commands.
