Manual iCloud Sync
- Download the latest version iCloud Control from Github. Click on the iCloud.
- Unzip the file and move the app to Applications.
- Open the app. It will tell you what to do.
- Next, relaunch Finder by holding down the Option key and right-clicking on the Finder icon.
- The menu button should have been automatically added.
Force Sync
To refresh your iCloud Calendars, launch the app on your iOS device and tap the “Calendars” button at the bottom of the page. When you get to the next page just tap and hold your finger on the screen and drag the list down until the activity icon appears and release the page.If your iCloud Drive not syncing is because the files don't update to iCloud, you'd better check your iCloud storage by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Storage or Manage Storage.
Sync all items of a content type
- Connect your device to your Mac.
- In the Finder on your Mac, select the device in the Finder sidebar.
- Select a type of content you want to sync in the button bar.
- Select the “Sync [content type] onto [device name]” checkbox to turn on syncing for that type of item.
Force Sync

Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive and disable iCloud Drive, restart the device and then re-enable iCloud Drive again.
If your iCloud Drive not syncing is because the files don't update to iCloud, you'd better check your iCloud storage by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Storage or Manage Storage.
If you upload a lot of pictures, then enable the “Unlimited Update” option as well. Sometimes, all it takes to fix the iCloud Photo Library not syncing issue is a simple reset. Go to your phone's Settings > iCloud > Photos and turn off the option of “iCloud Photo Library”. Restart your device and follow the same drill.
Go to iCloud Preferences > Photo Stream. Uncheck "Enable Photo Stream", then click apply. Turn Photo Stream back on in preferences (check "Enable Photo Stream"). After a few seconds, iPhoto will start to download all the photos again.
You can preview your photos kept in
iCloud even while using your
Android device.
How to view iCloud Photos on Android
- Open a web browser on your Android device.
- Go to icloud.com.
- Tap the Settings button (three-dot icon) on the browser page.
- Select Desktop Site. It will change the site into a desktop version.
Open up Settings and tap on iCloud. From there tap on Photos. Then you are going to turn on iCloud Photo Library. This will automatically upload and store your entire library in iCloud to access photos and videos from all of your devices.
Go to iCloud Preferences > Photo Stream. Uncheck "Enable Photo Stream", then click apply. Turn Photo Stream back on in preferences (check "Enable Photo Stream"). After a few seconds, iPhoto will start to download all the photos again.
How to enable iCloud Drive on your Mac
- Click on the Apple menu icon in the upper left corner of your Mac.
- Click on System Preferences.
- Click on iCloud.
- Tick the box for iCloud Drive to enable it.
When you turn on iCloud Photos, the time it takes for your photos and videos to upload to iCloud depends on the size of your collection and your Internet speed. If you have a large collection of photos and videos, your upload might take more time than usual. You can see the status and pause the upload for one day.
If iCloud photos are not syncing to your Mac, you should also check whether the options are set up correctly. On iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos and then switch on iCloud Photo Library and My Photo Stream. Then turn on iCloud Photo Library and My Photo Stream.
Upload photos to iCloud from a PC
- First, Download and install iCloud for Windows.
- Open the app and select Options.
- Select iCloud Photo Library and then click Done.
- Click Apply to set your preferences.
- Enable iCloud Photo Library on your iOS devices to sync between them.
Apple provides a cloud-based storage service, called iCloud, that makes it possible for us to sync our documents and files across all of our iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. The program used to access these files is called iCloud Drive (in iOS 11, the app is called Files).
Through iCloud, you'll be able to access, update, and sync your email, calendars, and contacts from all of your devices. For instance, if you enter a new contact on your iPhone, it will automatically get pushed to your computer, and vice versa.
How to access iCloud on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Choose iCloud.
- You'll now see all the apps and data you can sync and use with iCloud.
- Tap a toggle on the right hand side to turn on iCloud for a specific app.
- Toward the bottom, tap iCloud Backup to automatically make cloud backups of your iPhone or iPad.
How to add your iCloud email address to your Android phone
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the notification shade.
- Tap the settings button.
- Tap Accounts (or a variation of that, depending on who made your phone).
- Tap Add account at the bottom.
- Tap Personal (IMAP).
- Enter your iCloud email address.
When it comes to iCloud mail, contacts, reminders, and notes, you can actually set up multiple iCloud accounts on each device. Each of the apps used to access this information is capable of supporting not only more then one account, but also more then one type of account.
Move to Settings and go to Contacts >Tap Default Account >Select iCloud. To sync contacts to iCloud, Wi-Fi network or cellular data network is required. Just open Settings >click on General > Reset> Reset Network Settings. Note: Please check whether your problem of iCloud contacts not syncing to iPhone still persists.
