Press the blade completely down and then lock it into place by pressing the tab all the way in. Here's a picture of the autoblade correctly positioned in the carriage.
If your Silhouette Autoblade continues to cut through the vinyl, it's very likely due to the way the Autoblade is seated in the tool carriage. When the blade is not fully seated in the tool carriage - meaning there is a gap (even a small one) - it actually cuts too deep.

Unlike software, we don't use firmware to perform specific activities on devices, but instead use it for their main functions. Because of this, firmware updates are occasionally needed to make sure the device operates the way it should, as bugs are fixed and programs are altered for consumer benefits.
Firmware isn't a PC-only concept. You can (and should) update the firmware in external devices such as network-attached and external storage hubs, as well as wireless routers and portable media players. You can even upgrade the firmware on your phone, depending on the model.
A firmware update is a software program that can be used to update the firmware in these devices. For example, a user could download a firmware update for a network router that enhances its capabilities or fixes an issue. Firmware updates are available from hardware manufacturers.
Updating your router firmware can help improve connectivity and keep your router secure. It is always recommended to install the latest available updates to keep your network safe and efficient. Most routers have a built-in update checker, which may or may not perform the entire process automatically.
Firmware. Firmware is a software program or set of instructions programmed on a hardware device. It provides the necessary instructions for how the device communicates with the other computer hardware. Firmware is typically stored in the flash ROM of a hardware device.
NETGEAR regularly releases new firmware versions to improve product performance and add new features. You can respond to that message to update the firmware or you can manually check and update your router's firmware. To check for new firmware and update your router: Connect a device to your router's wireless network.
The Android operating system for smartphones and tablets gets periodic system updates just like Apple's iOS for the iPhone and iPad. These updates are also called firmware updates since they operate on a deeper system level than normal software (app) updates and are designed to control the hardware.
Most routers allows for firmware update within the web interface. Updating the firmware (a process often called "flashing the firmware") can help a router work better and sometimes even repair an annoying bug or add support for faster internet speed. This is especially when a router reset doesn't help.
There is no way for an end-user to update cable modem firmware manually. To make sure you have the latest firmware update from us: Power off your cable modem for 15 seconds, and then turn it on again. As it reboots, your modem will check if it's running the latest code from your service provider.
