Like the Argentavis it is able to pick various creatures off the ground and either drop them from the air or place them in a pen. In contrast the Pteranodon is unable to attack the creature it carries. This can be used to separate pack animals or to relocate tamed creatures.

Raw Salt is used to craft Preserving Salt.
It can be harvested from dark stones near oil patches in the ocean by using a Pickaxe. It can also be obtained from above-water oil deposits found in and around Whitesky Peak on the island, the top left snow mountain on Ragnarok, or by killing Basilosaurus, Trilobite, Leech, and Enforcer.
Organic Polymer is a naturally obtained resource that can be used as a direct substitute of Polymer for the purposes of crafting. It can be harvested by killing Kairuku, Mantis, Hesperornis and Karkinos. It can also be acquired as a loot drop from Deathworm and by gathering from specific plants on Aberration.
Small thing, like gas and metal, cooked meat and cooked prime will produce jerky simulateously, so you can double your production rate by doubling up your types of meat.

Sparkpowder is a resource in ARK: Survival Evolved. It can be created by grinding Flint with Stone in the Mortar and Pestle, each grind will yield 2 sparkpowders. Sparkpowder can be used as a fuel source, and is the primary fuel for the Preserving Bin.
To spawn Prime Meat Jerky, use the command: admincheat summon 298.
In the DLC: Scorched Earth, Preserving Salt was introduced. When placed into any inventory or container, Preserving Salt will double the spoil timers of all perishables in that container.
Crafting. Metal is smelted using a Refining Forge, Magmasaur, Phoenix, or Industrial Forge into Metal Ingot, which are an essential crafting ingredient. Two pieces of Metal Ore are needed to make one Metal Ingot, taking 20 seconds in the Refining Forge and 1 second in the Industrial Forge.
Food. The ideal food for Raptors is of course Prime Meat which will make the taming process go much faster, but since that is in short supply you will probably be primarily using regular raw meat.
Alpha Creatures can be tamed, unlike their brothers Prime Alphas. If taming is your game, Alpha Creatures require a separate, unique saddle to be rode on, but if you're looking for gear, it is beneficial to take strong creatures to kill them.
Though it is still possible by using a sword, sickle or metal pick. Unlike other rare drops which drop more frequently when harvested by a pick, a hatchet is more effective in cutting prime fish meat from a dead shark.
Harvesting
- Alpha Mosasaur.
- Dunkleosteus.
- Electrophorus.
- Leedsichthys.
- Megalodon.
- Sabertooth Salmon.
- Tusoteuthis.

In addition to preserving food, the Preserving Bin can make Cooked Meat Jerky or Prime Meat Jerky. Producing Jerky in the Preserving Bin takes 36 minutes. Jerky lasts for 20 days in the Preserving Bin. Creating Jerky requires both Oil and Sparkpowder, in addition to the Sparkpowder required to power the appliance.
Cooked Meat Jerky can be produced by placing Cooked Meat, Sparkpowder, and Oil in the Preserving Bin. After some time the meat will turn into jerky one piece at a time expending 1 Oil and 3 Sparkpowder. This can be done with Cooked Prime Meat as well to produce Prime Meat Jerky.
Regular Kibble is a Kibble made from any Medium Eggs.
Metal Ore is smelted into Metal Ingots by using a Refining Forge or Industrial Forge. Metal can be obtained by using a Stone or Metal Pick on a rock. There are rocks that yield more Metal. These rocks usually are grey with gold streaks throughout them or solid gold coloring.
