Using AdBlock Plus
- Select the Adblock Plus icon, located on the top right corner of your browser.
- A drop-down menu will appear.
- Select Disable on mylifetime.com.
- Refresh/reload the web page.
- The color of the icon should change from red to grey, indicating that the site is approved to show ads.
Roku's privacy settings are the same across all its devices. So, whether you have a Roku streaming stick, set-top box, or TV set, head to Settings > Privacy > Advertising and check the “Limit ad tracking” option. While you're there, you might want to reset the ad ID as well.
Of course, data is part of the reason TVs have gotten so cheap. Today, Roku's sell for less than $200, subsidized in part by targeted advertising. Technically, people agree to have their data sold when they set up their devices. But many aren't aware it's even happening.

With a straightforward privacy menu, Roku makes it easy to limit ads and control the smart TV aspects on your television. Roku says that while it shares some data with advertisers, but it does "not share your viewing data with them." Here's what you need to do to limit or disable some of the tracking.
Skip Crackle Ads on Roku:
- Firstly, Go to “Settings” in the Roku Home Screen.
- Choose “Privacy' and then select “Advertising”.
- Check the “Limit Ad Tracking” Option.

You can use YouTube to promote your Roku channel by featuring SOME (not all) of your video updates on a corresponding YouTube channel. In the comments for each video, you simply state there's EVEN MORE on your Roku channel (followed by the Roku Add Channel URL.)

- Connect the PVR to the TV and/or cable/satellite box.
- Select a program to watch.
- Select which programs to download to the PVR's hard drive.
It is true that today, the AdBlock extension is safe. We know that it will not steal your data, even though—as the other answers point out—it has the technical ability to do so. However, Chrome extensions are silently and automatically updated.
How to Stop Pop-Ups in Chrome
- Select Settings from the Chrome menu.
- Search 'Pop'
- Click Site Settings.
- Click Pop-ups and redirects.
- Toggle the Pop-ups option to Blocked, or delete exceptions.
Check 'Test Popup' to test Poper Blocker extension blocks the regular popups that open in a new tab. Now click on the 'Test Overlay' button. When the overlay popup appears, right click on it and choose 'Remove Overlay' option. Henceforth the extension will block overlay popups from that site.
