STEP 1: Measure 1/2 cup for PVA washable school glue into a bowl. Mix with 1/2 cup of water. STEP 2: Stir in 1/4 tsp of baking soda (can use 1/2 tsp for thicker slime). STEP 3: Add food coloring, glitter, or confetti to this mixture and mix to incorporate everything.
First, combine the glue and water in a bowl. Mix until they are homogeneous, meaning they're all essentially the same, single substance. Next, add any food coloring or glitter you'd like to your slime. Again, mix thoroughly.
Steps
- Mix together equal amounts of white school glue and water.
- Add some food coloring or glitter if desired.
- Stir in 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) of liquid laundry detergent with a fork.
- Knead the slime with your hands for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Play with the slime, then store it in an airtight container.
White glue (polyvinyl acetate, or PVA): PVA glue is a white liquid, usually sold in plastic bottles. School glue, a type of white glue, dries more slowly. Inexpensive and nonflammable, PVA glue dries clear.
How to make homemade slime
- Add glue and food coloring to bowl. Squeeze the bottle of glue into a bowl (photo 1).
- Mix in saline solution. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons saline solution and mix until combined (photo 3).
- Knead the slime. Using your hands, knead the slime until it holds together.
- Store slime.
Fluffy slime is really just regular slime made with shaving cream added. The amount of shaving cream you add will change the texture and consistency of the slime. How to Make Slime with Dish Soap and Toothpaste!
- Put 3 tablespoons of dish soap in a mixing bowl.
- Add 3 table spoons of toothpaste to the mix.
- Toss in a few shakes of salt from the shaker, and mix together!
- Let it freeze for about an hour.
- Take it out and stretch it and mess around with it!
Moving water enables the PVA to dissolve more quickly (in some cases under three hours, depending on the amount of support material used) Pliers. You can also speed up PVA dissolution by placing the print in water for approximately 10 minutes, then removing most of the support with pliers.

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is a water soluble polymer whose water solubility depends on its degree of hydrolysis, molecular weight, and tendency to hydrogen bond in aqueous solutions. PVA exhibits both upper and lower critical solubility temperatures and can be readily solubilized in water.
Dilute 1 part PVA with 4 parts water and mix well. Apply using a brush, working material well into crevices and gaps. Allow the coat to dry before continuing. For cement: Dilute 1 part PVA to 1 part gauging water.

Some man-made polymers, which are made from non-renewable and non-biodegradable sources, such as PVA, are available [5]. PVA is a biodegradable polymer, and its degradability is enhanced through hydrolysis because of the presence of hydroxyl groups on the carbon atoms.
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is an edible, non-toxic, film-forming and easily prepared environment-friendly polymer that shows good chemical resistance and mechanical properties (Sanders, 1960; Silva et al., 2013; Zanela et al., 2018).
It has no any bad effect on environment. Once PVA is dissolved in water, specific microorganism will cause it to degrade. When treated with activated sludge, solutions of PVA will be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide.
EYE DROPS OR EYE WASHIt is specific to drops you put in your eyes as opposed to rinsing lenses. Because eye drops do not contain sodium borate, you will need to at least double the amount you would use for our saline solution slime recipe. We made a DOLLAR STORE SLIME KIT with eye drops.
The saline solution is the slime activator and helps the slime to get its rubbery texture! Be careful, adding too much saline solution can make for a slime that's too stiff and not stretchy! Give this slime a fast stir to activate the mixture.
Adding baking soda to your slime recipe helps it have more form and firmness. If your slime is too oozy-gooey, add another pinch of baking soda to help it firm up. Continue adding baking soda a pinch at a time until the slime is your preferred consistency. Baking soda helps calibrate your slime recipes.
Elmer's glue (sometimes clear, sometimes white) is the main ingredient for slime, along with water and borax or liquid fabric softener — called "slime activators" in the slime world. From there, adding food coloring or paint will change the hue, and adding glitter or tiny balls or beads adds sparkle or texture.
Here's how to make it:
- Put 1/2 cup shampoo and 1/4 cup of cornstarch in a bowl.
- Mix well.
- Add 3 drops of food coloring (optional).
- Add 1 tablespoon of water and stir. Slowly add 5 more tablespoons of water, stirring well after each one.
- Knead the slime for around 5 minutes.
