PlayStation VR allows users to capture and stream live gameplay and gameplay clips from PSVR in a manner similar to standard streaming on the PlayStation 4 through Twitch and other services.
Game Overlay is a cutting edge new feature that gives streamers the ability to view chat and events overlayed on top of the screen. It is an exceptionally convenient and critical feature for live streamers with a single monitor.
How do I pop out my twitch chat? Chat settings (the gear) automatically puts you in Moderator settings now. If you scroll to the bottom, there should be a link to return you to non-moderator settings. In the non-mod settings, there is the option to pop-out the chat into its own window.
Both the Oculus
Quest and Oculus
Quest 2 are
Android devices at their core, so you can put APK files onto it just like an
Android phone.
Jump to:
- Unlock developer mode.
- Set up SideQuest on your PC.
- Connect your Oculus Quest and SideQuest.
- Install apps through SideQuest.
- Launch sideloaded games.
While the Oculus Quest can cast to a TV, it also has the handy ability to cast to a phone. Open the Oculus app. Tap the cast icon in the upper right-hand corner (right next to the bell icon). Select your Oculus Quest (any supported devices will show up on this list).
Turn on your Oculus
Quest headset and put it on.
Casting to your phone from the Oculus app:
- Open the Oculus app on your phone.
- Select from the top right of your screen.
- Under CAST FROM, select the headset you'd like to cast from.
- Under CAST TO, select This Phone or the Chromecast device you want to use.
Oculus Quest Can Now Cast To PC, App Getting 'Spectator Mode' Next Year. Oculus Quests can now cast to your PC via Chrome or Microsoft Edge. This new feature, available now, lets you cast to a web browser at www.oculus.com/casting.
To download and install the Oculus app on your computer:
- Go to www.oculus.com/setup and click Download Oculus Rift Software.
- Open the Oculus app and click Install Now.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and set up your Rift S or Rift.
To livestream to Facebook on your Oculus Quest 2 or Quest:
- Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
- Select .
- Select Go Live.
- Select Who Can See Your Live Video? to pick your audience:
- Choose if you want to have the microphone on your Quest on for the livestream.
Getting the Rift working with SteamVR
- Boot up your PC and open Steam.
- Plug in your Oculus Rift headset.
- You should see this image:
- Click “Install SteamVR.”
- Once it is installed, click the VR button at the top right of your Steam client.
- You should get this menu at the bottom right:
Virtual Desktop on Steam. Virtual Desktop is an application developed for the Oculus Rift / Rift S, HTC Vive, Valve Index and WMR headsets that lets you use your computer in VR. You can browse the web, watch movies, Netflix or even play games on a giant virtual screen.

Right click the newly created capture and select “Properties” and choose the main monitor from which you want to stream. Here the concept is pretty simple: we'll launch an Oculus game, which will mirror on the main screen of my PC. OBS will take this mirror and will stream it to your Youtube live broadcast.
Last week, Valve's SteamVR platform added full support for the Oculus Rift S. You can use SteamVR to play many PC VR games not sold on the Oculus Store. You can download SteamVR from Steam.
Open the YouTube app. Search for a VR video or go to the YouTube Virtual Reality house channel by searching for "Virtual Reality." Look for this icon to find the right channel . Select a VR video. To start playback, tap the play button.
