The 700-year-old sword, discovered in the Vrbas River, was found 36 feet underwater, stuck in a rock while archaeologists were excavating a nearby castle, The Sun reports. The Vrbas is a 150-mile long river in the heart of Bosnia, right near the city of Banja Luka.
The sword of St Galgano, said to have been plunged into a rock by a medieval Tuscan knight, has been authenticated, bolstering Italy's version of the Excalibur legend. For centuries the sword was assumed to be a fake.
Most notably, the showrunner confirms that Merlin and Arthur did indeed grow to love each other by the end of the series, calling it a “pure” love. At the “just hold me,” Murphy justifies to a shocked McGrath that, “well, he's dying, the man he loves is dying, so he's holding him.”

It was determined that a Female main character with a Male Servant wouldn't sell as well as a Male main character with a Female Servant. So once that was settled on the easiest thing to do was to just swap the genders, and so bam, female King Arthur is born.

While being immortal against mortal weapons is powerful, merlin is a dragonlord which is super powerful and trumps morgans high priest title. BBC turns him into a young, foolish, but lovable magician who constantly defeats the forces of evil that plague Camelot in their series Merlin.
As Merlin went to lift the rock a slew of monstrous rocks collapsed on top of Merlin, thus dooming Merlin to the grave. Vivien had now betrayed Merlin to his death and was now the most powerful wizard in all of the land. These events will come to have a dramatic impact on the great King Arthur.

Lancelot was one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, and as you probably know, he was the best. However, as often is the cause of quarrels between friends, Lancelot fell in love with Arthur's wife, Guinevere. Arthur was enraged and the whole affair contributed to the downfall of Camelot!
When news reached Lancelot of Arthur's death in battle, Lancelot exchanged his armour for the clothes of a monk. When he died, he was buried beside his friend Galehaut at Joyous Guard. King Arthur and his Queen Guinevere and the Knights of the Round Table had come to an end.

Merlin is tasked with giving Lancelot a proper burial and takes his body to the shore of Nemhain. Using his magic, he is able to briefly revive his friend, and it seems that it is the real Lancelot who wakes "Merlin," he gasps. "Thank you." Lancelot dies again, but this time, he is at peace.
