Drinking plenty of water can keep your skin hydrated and enhance the effect of hyaluronic acid fillers. After your treatment, we can recommend skin care products that complement the effects of your filler type.
Don't wax, tweeze, bleach, or use hair removal products on the treatment area for at least two days before the treatment. Stop taking supplements one week prior. Your provider can give you a list to avoid, which might include St John's Wort, vitamin E, ginseng, Gingko Biloba, Primrose oil, and garlic.

It is normal for there to be some swelling and possibly even some bruising for a few days after facial fillers but generally you will see an immediate difference in volume and shape of the treated area. Make sure to sleep on your back with your head elevated using 2 pillows for 3 nights-this will ensure that the newly injected filler stays in place. Another option would be to use a wrap around neck pillow to stabilize your head.

So how does 1mL of dermal filler enhance your face? Dermal filler is extremely hydrophilic and attracts many times its weight in water. It binds with water and gets more voluminous, so 1 mL of dermal filler actually goes a very long way. Dermal fillers are very effective at projecting the skin.

If you can only feel the lumps and not see them, then panic even less, because this isn't usually a problem. If you can see the lumps. Keep your eye on them. Perform gentle massage (only if recommended by your doctor) and if you can still see a lump at 2 weeks, contact your doctor.
Clumping of a filler causes lumps and bumps that usually have to be surgically removed. Permanent fillers cause permanent side effects.
Avoid itching, massaging, or picking around the injection site. This is normal and generally disappears within a few hours to a few days.
