Mario Party was the first instalment in the series. It was released in 1998 and 1999 for the Nintendo 64. Its roster of playable characters includes Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach (referred to as simply Peach in-game), Donkey Kong (referred to as DK in-game), Yoshi, and Wario.
