The cheaper Small Packet (Ground) to the USA was dropped as a Canada Post shipping choice last year. Fedex is more expensive than Canada Post and does not serve all Canadian destinations. Where Fedex does not provide service, they hand off the packages to Canada Post to deliver.

From 2 April 2017, there will be some changes to the signature service in Parcel Post and Express Post. One of the current options that requires a signature on delivery (unless the receiver chooses otherwise) will now default to signature with authority to leave.

What is Saturday Delivery? Saturday Delivery is available on Express Post parcels which are sent on Friday before the cut-off time within the defined Express Post Saturday Delivery area within your State*. The majority of deliveries will occur on Saturday between 9:00am and 1:00pm.
