In the finale of Criminal Minds season 14, an emotional episode that saw both a wedding and a hostage situation, JJ Jareau (played by A.J. Cook) told her longtime coworker, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Grey Gubler) that she had loved him all along. I repeat: JJ loved Reid all along.
Erica Messer wants to set the record straight: JJ and Cruz are not having an affair on Criminal Minds. “I'll say it again: They did not and are not having an affair,” the showrunner tells TVGuide.com. “It only seems like they are."
JJ is married to Detective William "Will" LaMontagne. They have two sons Henry and Michael. As of season 13 she and Matt Simmons are the only members of the BAU who are married with children. In "The Crossing," JJ told Will that she was pregnant with his child.
Let's rewind a second. Here's what we know about JJ's romantic life: She meets her husband to-be, Detective William LaMontagne Jr., in season two, and dates him in secret for a while. Then she gets pregnant in season three, and he proposes; their son, Henry, is born in season four, and JJ names Reid his godfather (!).
Luckily, the Criminal Minds finale took a substantial amount of time to resolve these issues, some of which date back to the second season, through a purgatory-like hallucination while Reid teetered on the edge of death (again) from a subcranial hemorrhage sustained during the previous episode.

A.J. Cook welcomed a beautiful baby boy on July 23, 2015 with her husband Nathan Andersen. The two also have a seven-year-old that you may also recognize: Mekhai—who stars on Criminal Minds as Henry, JJ's first son.
His death didn't come as too much of a surprise, given the fact that Criminal Minds let the actor go over hiatus. The real surprise came due to the huge death at the very end of the episode. Mr. Scratch finally and quite definitively died, and the episode addressed just what that means for the long-lost Hotch.
However, she is finally forced to transfer by "the brass." JJ's departure reflects that Cook was let go at the beginning of season six, for financial reasons relating to the premiere of the spin-off Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Cook later returned for the departure of Paget Brewster (Agent Emily Prentiss).
'Criminal Minds' A.J. Cook Stuns Fans by Cutting Her Hair Short for New Decade. After the tough year A.J. Cook and her family faced last year, it's no surprise the star decided to make a big change to welcome the new decade. The star left fans stunned by chopping off her luscious locks.
JJ discovers that she is pregnant in the episode "The Crossing" with her partner Will's child. This pregnancy eventually leads to her temporarily leaving the BAU on a maternity leave during the following season.
Basic Information. Dr. Spencer Reid is 26 years old (though when the 1st season started he was 24), he's a misunderstood genius with an intelligence that makes him a great source of information for the BAU squad; his rank there is as Supervisory Special Agent and brought in by Gideon.
JJ will only make a cameo in the Season 11 premiere of Criminal Minds, as A.J. Cook is on maternity leave, but she brought along a very special guest: her new baby boy! Cook, who welcomed Phoenix in July with her husband Nathan Andersen, will return in the seventh episode.

You had quite a death in the finale!
The death is the bad guy, The Chameleon, who we've been chasing all season. And he dies in our beloved jet, which has basically been a character for 324 episodes. I mean, it's major. Our team had to stand around and watch the jet explode.
