Students who apply by November 1 will receive full consideration for admission, University Honors Program, and scholarships. November 1 is also the deadline by which freshman School of Nursing applicants must submit their application to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Testing. Yes, students who do not wish to have SAT or ACT scores considered as part of their application review can still submit other optional forms of testing (such as AP exam scores or IB exam scores), and these scores may be self-reported on the application or through the Enrollment Connect Portal.

With a GPA of 3.86, Mercer University requires you to be near the top of your class, and well above average. Your transcript should show mostly A's. Ideally, you will also have taken several AP or IB classes to show that you can handle academics at a college level.

How many students are at Mercer?
Vehicles should be registered no later than the first day of class in the semester of your first semester at Mercer. Decals are not needed between graduation day of the last school year and the first day of class in the new year.

Mercer admissions is somewhat selective with an acceptance rate of 74%. Students that get into Mercer have an average SAT score between 1170-1340 or an average ACT score of 25-30. The regular admissions application deadline for Mercer is April 1.
Mercer University is a dry campus, and although no fraternity was allowed to have alcohol in its campus facility, many chapters would violate this policy.
While enrolled at Mercer, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for HOPE and a cumulative GPA of 3.3 for Zell Miller at Mercer each year (not counting "plus" grades Students' HOPE GPA will be evaluated at the end of every spring semester, regardless of the student's number of attempted hours.
