Help and advice
All of our UK services require a signature upon delivery. This means that it is not possible to leave an item without receiving one. If the item has been delivered then a signature should be visible as proof of delivery on your track & trace results.If you want to collect your parcel from one of our depots then please visit the depot locator locator for the address, directions and opening times. Your parcel will be ready for collection from the next working day.

For security reasons, without the card you can't collect the item from your local Customer Service Point or Post Office Counter. To arrange a Redelivery online you'll need to know the details of the delivery, including the name on the item, address, date the card was left and, if you have it, the item number.
After an initial attempted delivery, we will automatically attempt redelivery on the next working day if we haven't left your item at your local Post Office or with a neighbour. You can arrange an alternative redelivery or pick up below.
That we deliver Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm. We currently cannot give specific times for deliveries.
If you're expecting a package, but you've missed the first attempt at delivery, you have options. The UPS InfoNotice® lets you know we tried but were unable to deliver your package. Using your UPS InfoNotice, you can reschedule the delivery of your package.
We also offer a Sunday delivery service for non-account customers through our Post Office® branches. If the parcel is sent on a Friday we can guarantee a Sunday delivery*.
When the sender has chosen and paid for the Saturday delivery service, we will deliver your parcel on a Saturday. Deliveries on a Saturday are between 7am and 2pm.
Officially, it means a courier has attempted to deliver goods but the addressee did not appear to be home in which case said courier would leave an 'attempted delivery' notification with any online tracking indicating such an action.

In rare circumstances, you may be able to claim compensation if you've lost out because of a delayed delivery within that time period. But this is only if you've had to take extra time off work to be home for the redelivery.

Yodel's delivery times are between 8 am and 6 pm. These are also the times between which Yodel couriers will collect parcels from the sender.

Does the Royal mail in your area separately deliver letters and packages at different times? No, only if its done through parcelforce which I think is affiliated with royal mail. Usually the postman brings any parcel to my door with my letters and hands them to me.
If you choose a Parcelforce delivery service, you drop it off at your local Post Office, or Parcelforce Depot. Be aware that you cannot drop off parcels at a Royal Mail sorting office - only Post Office branches and Parcelforce Depots.
