The heart of a generator control panel is its ability to automatically start and stop a generators engine. The Generator control Panel can monitor critical engine functions such as oil pressure, and coolant temperature, and shut down the generator engine to protect it from harm.
In electricity generation, a generator is a device that converts motive power (mechanical energy) into electrical power for use in an external circuit. Sources of mechanical energy include steam turbines, gas turbines, water turbines, internal combustion engines, wind turbines and even hand cranks.
DG AMF Panel
AMF board and ATS panels monitor the incoming AC mains supply, activate the standby generator when mains power fails and make an automatic electrical transfer of the building's load from the mains to the generating set.Genset. A genset (generator set) is used to power the reefer container when normal shore power is not available. E.g. when trucking over long distances or when chilled or sensitive cargo is being moved.
Use the 500 amp carbon pile load tester to test 12 volt batteries, alternators, regulators and starters by putting a load on the system to simulate working conditions. The device features separate color-coded volt and amp meters. Test complete charging system including alternator, regulator, and battery.
The carbon pile regulator controls DC generator output by sending the field current through a stack of carbon disks (the carbon pile). The carbon disks are in series with the generator field. The voltage coil acts like an electromagnet that increases or decrease strength as generator output voltage changes.
The solid-state voltage regulator (SSVR) is for manually regulating the AC power on resistive loads. The SSVR kit contains a SSVR, a rheostat, and a dial plate. Similar to solid state relays (SSR), SSVR also generates heat when electrical current passing it. The rheostat will carry the same voltage that it regulates.

reverse current relay. A relay incorporated into a generator circuit to disconnect the generator from the battery when the battery voltage is greater than the generator voltage.
Introduction. The vibrating control regulator is a type of voltage regulator that is used in an excitation system to both supply and regulate the direct current in the rotor windings.
The Generator Control Unit (GCU) is part of the aircraft electrical power generating system and supervises its associated AC generating channel.
The integrated drive generator (IDG) consists of a Constant Speed Drive (CSD) and AC generator mounted side by side in a single housing. The CSD performs the operation by controlled differential action to maintain the constant output speed required to drive the generator.
Constant speed drive consists essentially of a hydraulic transmission with mechanical controls governing the output rotation speed. The transmission is capable of either adding to or subtracting from the speed received from the gearbox in order to provide constant output speed to keep the generator on frequency.
A VFG on a A350 (Variable Freq Generator) ranges from 360Hz to 800Hz (idle to takeoff) but it weighs less than a traditional IDG or CDS due to the fact that it has less components inside since it does not need to convert the freq to a fixed 400Hz.
The IDG(Integrated Drive Generator) is an aircraft power generation device which houses a Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) to generate 400Hz constant frequency power regardless of the engine speed.
VARIABLE FREQUENCY GENERATOR (VFG)
• Power Generator that varies Frequency and Voltage. output. • Operates 30-70 Hz, 400-5000 Volts. • For use with ESP's & other Variable Torque Loads. requiring variable speed.Generator output voltage will increase. Why is a constant-speed drive used to control the speed of some aircraft engine-driven generators? So that the frequency of the alternating current output will remain constant. force required to turn the generator increases.

Conduit is used in aircraft installations for the mechanical protection of wires and cables. It is available in metallic and nonmetallic materials and in both rigid and flexible form.
