Absolute yes! Base game is like 8 dollars rn on Steam, Greymoor upgrade is 9 on resellers like g2a and cdkeys. the game is still VERY much alive and obviously getting a brand new, year long expansion in 2021 with the gates of oblivion.
Directly, no. But you can farm gold (of course), and trading gold for crowns is acceptable within the terms of service and a somewhat common practice. Usually 1 crown costs between 200-300 gold.

If you want to start the game with as much content as possible, the best solution will be to buy the Greymoor edition. It will give you access to a total of four large expansions. It is worth noting that buying Summerset, Elsweyr and Greymoor DLCs separately is more expansive than buying the entire set straight away.
The Necromancer class is available for Crowns in the in-game Crown Store and is not included with your ESO Plus membership. You can find the Necromancer under Upgrades in the Class section.
Virtually everything in ESO can be played Solo with the exception of the highest level Veteran Dungeons and of course 12 Player Trials. This means as a Solo Player you can expect to enjoy: Questing and Story Content.
The only difference in the editions will be what it includes. Some versions only include the Original ESO base game, some include ESO+Morrowind, some include more than that.
This huge patch size is because the game's essentially replacing itself. Once it's done, the overall file size will be reduced, which is a good thing considering The Elder Scrolls Online has been sitting at around 100GB for as long as we can remember.

ESO is not a Pay-To-Win game. Anything you can buy for Real Money -> Crowns -> Gold, you can get in game by playing the game. You can also do the reverse. Play the Game -> Make Gold -> Buy Crown Items.
The game can be played very well as alone as you want. Play in /offline and no one can even give you /tells! Oh, and yeah, you can turn off the name tags.
You can play the game for free, no subscription is required. If you want to get more content and special bonuses you can get ESO Plus membership. As you see the changes are global. Developers of the Elder Scrolls Online understood that their subscription model doesn't attract new players.
While ESO is part of the Elder Scrolls universe, it is both very different and very similar to games like Skyrim. You'll still feel that awe of reaching the highest peak and looking over the vast horizon, but this time you may not have gotten there on your own (or with Lydia).
Play For FreeNote: Steam's Free Play Event will run from April 1 through April 6. During this period, anybody on PC/Mac, Xbox One (Xbox Live Gold required), and PlayStation®4 can download and play The Elder Scrolls Online base game free and experience a whole world of adventure.
Play For FreeIf you're on PlayStation 4, you'll need a PlayStation Plus membership in order to download and play the game. If you're playing on PC/Mac, you can download and play for free via The Elder Scrolls Online official site or Steam.
The solo stuff is fun, but it is definitely worth entering all the 4man dungeons, some of the best content, challenges, environments and rewards are in those. Played solo 90% on a character so far and I can honestly say I've enjoyed the adventures more than I enjoyed Skyrim.
The DLC that's worth it imo is Osirium, Morrowind, and Summerset as they are the main "story" dlcs that have more to add than others. They discount the first 2 on their anniversary every year so you may want to look into that.
How to Get Flames of Ambition. Access the Flames of Ambition DLC game pack via ESO Plus membership or purchase it for 1,500 crowns from the in-game Crown Store (listed under DLC).
DLC have to be purchased separately. There is no bundle that has every DLC included. You can subscribe to ESO+ for lots of perks including access to all DLC while it's active.
Most maintenance periods will last for no more than a few hours. During these times, we'll deploy patches, server optimizations, database updates, hardware upgrades, and perform other routines that keep ESO running smoothly.
Elder Scrolls Online: The base game, previously branded as Tamriel Unlimited, is required to experience the below content. It is buy-to-play, meaning that once you have purchased it you have full access to the base game without any further payment or subscriptions required.
The new classes, Warden for Morrowind and Necromancer for Elsweyr, are not included in the ESO subscription, however. You can purchase the standalone classes in the Crown Store for 1,500 Crowns.
Many lore sources say 582, but many other sources also say 583.
Yup! You can use ESO Plus to play everything up to Greymoor in terms of Chapters.
Hey there, Greymoor is not included in ESO Plus.
