Carnival's newest active ship is the Horizon, launched in 2018. The next ship to be launched will be the Panorama in December 2019 and then the Mardi Gras in 2020.

Carnival Cruise Line is canceling sailings into early 2021 and is also selling two of its ships as COVID-19 continues to tremendously affect the travel industry. Announced this week, the cruise line canceled cruises on both their Carnival Magic and Carnival Paradise ships until March 2021.
It also completes some transatlantic sailings. First introduced in 2002, the 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend was last updated in May 2018 to include cosmetic updates and traveler favorites like the Alchemy Bar, BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar, Guy's Burger Joint and the RedFrog Rum Bar.
Today, the Carnival Glory once again set sail out of New Orleans, having completed repairs to an indentation that was gouged into its stern during last week's collision with the Carnival Legend in Cozumel, Mexico.
Guy's Burger Joint is now available on nearly every ship in Carnival's fleet. The only exceptions? Right now the restaurant is not on the Carnival Miracle and the Carnival Splendor. But if you are sailing on everything from the Carnival Fantasy to the Carnival Panorama, you'll find Guy's Burger Joint ready to serve.
Carnival respects our guests' religious beliefs and invites them to practice on their own or with other members of their group. However, we do not place clergy on board our ships. Clergy traveling as guests onboard our ships are welcome to volunteer to conduct services while sailing.
Why not have some fun at Carnival Radiance's onboard casino, where slots, blackjack, poker and table games present the chance to pocket some pennies or even win some seriously big bucks.
Notes: The Carnival Victory was sent to dry-dock in March 2020 and this dry-dock was originally scheduled to last through April 26, 2020. The ship's dry-dock has been taking place in Cadiz, Spain.
Why cruise ships are being refurbished? Time is money - while a cruise ship overhaul takes 15-30-days, to build a new liner (design to launch) takes ~3 years (depending on vessel size, specifications, special features, owner, etc).
Launched in 1993 and last renovated in early 2017, Carnival Sensation features "Fun Ship 2.0" amenities like Guy's Burger Joint, the Alchemy Bar and BlueIguana Cantina. In 2019-20, Carnival Sensation departs from Miami for sailings in the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Cruise vacations can often expose you to too much sun while lying on deck or when hitting the beach at one of your ports. Too much sun can not only increase risk of cancer, but it also can cause heat stroke, cataracts, dizziness, fatigue and skin blisters or burns.
Can You Sleep on a Cruise Ship Balcony? There are no rules that say that passengers on cruise ships can't sleep on their balconies. That said, cruise lines do generally advise against it. Despite this many people enjoy sleeping on their balconies and you won't have any problem doing so if you want to.
A balcony may absolutely be worth it to you, but probably not if these are your primary reasons: 1) You're looking for a place to smoke. You can't smoke on cruise ship balconies. Guest demand has made most areas on most ships non-smoking, but in this case the reason is largely safety.
Cruise ship also sell & fill unsold cabins by simply changing the way of general sales. Many cruise liners now sell an expensive inside cabins & term as a “free upgrade” to a Balcony cabin which is infact a discounted price for a Balcony cabin.
As you can see, there's a substantially higher cost to the Royal Caribbean package, but it does offer more perks — including Internet access. Bottom line: Both cruise lines offer VIP perks, but Royal Caribbean's costs more (and offers more). Carnival's is less expensive, but doesn't include perks like Internet.
It depends on how much of a booze hound you are and the nature of the cruise. If you have several days at sea, know you'll enjoy a proper morning coffee and a poolside soft drink, plus a few glasses of wine over dinner, then the package can offer better value than buying drinks individually.
While cruise ships can typically "outrun" most storms, passengers may still experience rough seas as their ship skirts the edges of a storm. On rare occasions, a ship may have to go through the outer bands of storm to reach safe haven in a port, though most times ships will go out to sea to avoid storms.
The cheapest times to cruise are typically in the late summer and fall because of hurricane season. (If you decide to travel then, purchasing cruise insurance is a good idea.) But you can often find other patches of bargain sailings, especially during the early weeks of December and in the spring.
On average modern cruise ships are 20% longer than the Titanic and twice as high. The average Royal Caribbean cruise ship is 325 meters long, 14 decks high and has a gross tonnage of 133,000. In comparison, the Titanic was only 269 meters long, 9 decks high, and had a gross tonnage of 46,000.
1. Symphony of the Seas: This 18-deck cruise ship is currently the largest passenger ship in the world, measuring 1,188 feet.
More than 100 years ago, the Titanic was the largest cruise ship on the water. But today, a ship that's twice as high and twice as wide is the new queen of the sea. With 18 decks and seven “neighborhoods,” Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas is the world's largest (and newest) cruise ship.
Carnival Corp, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings are the three dominant players in the cruise industry. Together, they accounted for nearly $6 billion in profits and over 70% of the cruise market in 2018.

But which is bigger, an aircraft carrier, or a cruise ship? In fact, they are roughly the same size. The largest aircraft carrier at sea in 2020 is the Gerald R Ford Class aircraft carrier which has a length of 1,106 feet. Therefore, the world's largest cruise ship is 82 feet longer than the largest aircraft carrier.
The story of the tanker that was once known as the Seawise Giant is much less familiar, although it's every bit as memorable. The largest ship ever built—she was nearly twice as long as the Titanic—actually sank, only to rise up from the ocean floor and sail again.
