With the CEB Flexi, a passenger will only have to pay for the fare difference of the new chosen flight, if applicable. Passengers who avail of GO Easy or GO Flexi may still buy a larger baggage allowance or upgrade to a higher seat category.
"The carrier believes that flexibility is critical in restoring passenger confidence in air travel," Cebu Pacific said. This means that passengers can rebook flights as many times as needed, with no extra charges. The fare difference will still apply.
If you're one of the affected passengers, you can rebook for FREE. The airline has waived the change fees and fare difference. The new travel date must be before June 30 only. Note, however, that rebooking isn't your only option.
Switching up an itinerary can be a costly affair, with all major U.S. carriers charging at least a $75 fee for domestic flight changes. For the three biggies — Delta, American and United — it's a flat-out $200 penalty. Add that on top of an increase in fare, and you're going to end up really shelling out.
