ICSE Board Exam 2020: The ICSE Board has cancelled the ICSE Board Class 10 exam and the ICSE Board Class 12 exam, in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. During the hearing, the ICSE Board told Supreme Court that it has also cancelled its Class X and XII board exams with no option of re-examinations.
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has written to State CMs to allow schools to reopen partially for students of Classes 10th and 12th from January 4, 2021. Notably, schools across India have been shut since March 2020 owing to Covid-19 pandemic.
The future education policies were prepared under the aegis of the Cambridge University.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, a private board of secondary education in India.
The reassessment option will help those students who have failed in the CISCE Class 9 and Class 11 Exams held earlier this year and didn't manage to clear them. The court has asked the CISCE Board to provide the reassessment option to them as a second chance to clear the exam instead of waiting for a complete year.

Students no need to repeat whole year if failed in one subject, says CISCE. “The ICSE students would have to clear three more subjects in addition to English to be eligible for the compartment exam and the ISC students would have to clear two subjects. Only then can they appear for compartment exam,” asserted Arathoon.

CBSE is recognized by the Government of India. Certificate provided by CBSE and ICSE are globally valid, but in India, you have a slight advantage of studying in CBSE Board. Another difference that will tell you CBSE or ICSE which is better, is that ICSE focuses more on practical knowledge which CBSE does not.
In 2020, the examinations were scheduled between February 27 and March 30. CICSE board did not publish merit list for class 10, 12 exams last year in view of exceptional circumstances. The overall pass percentage this year is 99.33%. In 2019, the ICSE class 10 result was declared on May 7, 2019.

ICSE stands for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education while ISC stands for Indian School Certificate. ICSE and ISC curriculum have been designed for different grades and that's where the difference actually lies. ICSE is the examination conducted by CISCE for students of the 10th standard.
