Skype is Going Away.Last summer, Microsoft officially announced the end-of-life for Skype for Business Online, effective July 31, 2021. After this date, organizations using Skype will be forced to use Teams for internal and external communication, screensharing, and conference calling.
No one can see it when looking at your profile. Only friends who already know your email address can use it to search for you.
If the person is really offline, the “sending†icon—a gray spinning circle or arrow next to the message box—will continue spinning. If the person is really online but invisible, there will be no spinning icon.
Checking Someone's StatusIf there is a green check mark next to your friend's name, she is available to receive a call or Skype message. This mark indicates your contact is online and logged into Skype. If you see the green cloud with a white circle in it, your contact is currently in a conversation.
Open Status options, and, next to Show me as Inactive when my computer has been idle for this many minutes, click the up or down arrows to specify how long Skype for Business should wait before changing your status to Inactive. The maximum interval of time you can enter is 360 minutes.
