Rolls Royce has come out with a new hood ornament called the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet sculpture. This little charm costs a whopping $200,000! It's made of platinum and diamonds about 150 carats! One of a kind, to be sure.
The Spirit of Ecstasy is the bonnet ornament sculpture on Rolls-Royce cars. It is in the form of a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her. Billowing cloth runs from her arms to her back, resembling wings.
It's not illegal to install a hood ornament in the United States. Not anywhere. Not unless you fail to install it properly and it comes off and damages a car, which doesn't make the hood ornament illegal itself, that's no different than any vehicle component. Another caveat is it can't obscure your view.
