Parris Goebel was only 16 when she set herself four ambitious goals. Goebel's father, Brett, whom she describes as “this big white man with bright blue eyes who loves doughnuts”, is a huge influence in her professional life; her mother, LeeAnn, who is of Samoan, Chinese and Scottish descent, holds the fort at home.

Kiel is the creative director of the agency '3WJ+boy', providing jobs and building the commercial industry in New Zealand, and founder of 'NZX', a collaborative team formed of dancers from all over the country.
Parris Goebel is probably pop music's most in demand choreographer. She's responsible for Justin Bieber's Sorry video, and has worked with Rihanna, J. Lo and Little Mix, among others.
Goebel, the adored baby of the close-knit Mormon family, has one brother, Jarek, and sisters Kendal and Narelle. She manages The Palace, her South Auckland dance school, and nurtures its emerging talent, and commutes every second week to Los Angeles to choreograph and direct dance videos.
Courtesy of Parris Goebel. You call the dance that you've created "Polyswagg" and we love your description of it as "combining sassy woman fire with aggressive inner strength." How did you develop it? I guess in the dance industry women are, I think, perceived a little bit different you know.
Dance crews. A dance crew is a team of street dancers who come together to develop new moves and battle other crews. All styles of hip-hop are rooted in battling, and being a part of a crew was the only way to learn when these styles began because they were not taught in studios: they all started out as social dances.

The original seven-member iteration of the Jabbawockeez began performing as a group in 2004. This lineup consisted of Gary, Randy, Phil, Kevin, Joe, Rynan, and Chris. Jabbawockeez rounded out their numbers with additional members, bringing their total to eleven.

With one exception, it was mission accomplished within four remarkably short years.
Goebel is of Samoan, Chinese, and Scottish descent. She was interested in dance from a young age and started hip-hop lessons when she was 10. When she was 15, she started the dance group ReQuest with four female friends.

On May 16, 2016 the pair's young son was born, with Thompson in attendance at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick for his birth. Thompson is now in a relationship with dancer Kaea Pearce and has a seven-year-old son from a previous romance.
