The real promise of the Xbox One X is “true 4K” gaming. Most games made for the Xbox One are designed for 1080p TVs, which have a quarter of the pixels found on a new 4K TV. The Xbox One X is more than four times faster than the original Xbox One, so it's capable of 4K gaming.
If you want to play Grand Theft Auto 5 in 4K you'll need one of these. Rockstar has previously said that to run GTA 5 in 4K at 30fps, you will need "at minimum an AMD HD 7870 graphics card or NVidia GTX 760 with 2GB of VRAM".
After all, 4K is 3840×2160 (a total of over 8 million pixels), while 1440p is 2560×1440 (3.6 million pixels). The same can be said for 4K video.
Overall, the Xbox One X is certainly capable of much better graphics and much greater visual customization than the PS4 Pro thanks to its greater power.

Comes at an Affordable Price
The Xbox One S is definitely a really good console with its huge game library, commendable gaming and TV experience, and an affordable price tag. The Xbox One S is a definite bang for the buck and investing on the same in 2020 is definitely worth it.Really at this point, the Xbox One, Xbone S, and the PS4 original, have 4k more or less for movies and TV at this point, they don't run most games in 4k, at least not natively. If you just have the S, then you don't need to worry about 4k. Chances are your current HDTV is a 1080i or 1080p TV and that's good enough.
If you're the type of console gamer who buys all the latest, biggest games and wants the best visual experience possible, the Xbox One X with a 4K TV is the best option by far this year.
The Xbox One S should also be cheap, as it currently is the cheapest 4K Blu-Ray player and is often deeply discounted, or bundled with new titles. All in all, whether you plan on getting an Xbox or a PlayStation, buying a current generation console is still worth your money.
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and refers to the contrast or color range between the lightest and darkest tones in an image. HDR delivers a higher contrast—or larger color and brightness range—than Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), and is more visually impactful than 4K.
You do not need a new HDMI cable for Ultra HD 4K (probably). We're well into the transition to Ultra HD "4K." Most mid- and high-end TVs are now Ultra HD resolution, with many also supporting HDR. But guess what -- you probably don't need 4K HDMI cables, because your current ones can likely do 4K just fine.
Xbox One S All-Digital. While the Xbox One S All-Digital doesn't support 4K gaming, it does support 4K playback for apps like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, and Microsoft Movies & TV.
While both the Xbox One and Xbox One S play games natively at 1080p, the Xbox One S can upscale games to 4K resolution if you have a 4K TV. That makes for a better picture than 1080p or 720p, although it's not as good as native 4K. The original Xbox One does not support HDR for games or video playback.
