Weather: Autumn in Wyoming is a delight. Many locations will see snow in mid-September, but it doesn't get to be real winter until late November. During October and November you'll discover a warm Indian Summer, with cool nights and beautiful changing colors.
The best times to visit Jackson Hole are the months of April, May, September and October, unless you're a skier, then winter is the season for you.
October is a great month for sightseeing in Yellowstone. The wildlife is either mating or getting ready for winter, and it provides you with excellent opportunities to see them in most areas of the park.
