Buying Options. The Weber Spirit II E-310 is the best gas grill for most people, offering an unrivaled combination of top-notch grilling performance, a versatile three-burner design, durability, and an affordable price.
Weber settled the case out of court, but they made no effort to change their practices. In fact, most of the company manufactures most of their products in China these days. Up until 2016, Weber could still claim that their grills were “Made in The USA with globally sourced components,” but that's no longer the case.
Both are solidly built grills with high-quality materials, but this is our verdict: Although Weber and Broil King both had a winner in each comparison category, the Broil King grills won in the best of three.
Weber has achieved a high level of success because its gas grills are durable, stylish, reliable, and backed by a 10-year warranty. Built on a foundation of great customer service, Weber gas grills also provide great value — they're affordable, but still deliver great cooking performance.
In our opinion the best value gas grill has to be the Weber Spirit II E-310. If you can stretch your budget, then the the Genesis II E-435 hits the sweet spot between price, size and functionality. The inclusion of a dedicated sear burner makes this the obvious choice for steak fanatics.
You do get a prettier grill, slightly better warranty, etc. but the grill itself is not 50% better. If what you want is a three burner grill with some bells and whistles then you will love the Weber Spirit E 330 that comes with a Sear Station and side burners. This grill is absolutely worth the money.
One the one hand, Napoleon is slightly less expensive and does give you a larger primary cooking area, but the Weber is also great and has some cool features. It is probably slightly more robust and is also more compact. While they are both easy to use, the Weber will probably suit the beginner better than Napoleon.

While the Traeger Ironwood pellet grills have a maximum temperature of 500 degrees, the Weber grills have a maximum temperature setting of 600 degrees. Weber also promotes the fact the Weber SmokeFire range of pellet grills can flame sear which will provide an even higher cooking surface temperature.
The Traeger Ironwood 650 has a slight edge here, earning a rating of Excellent vs. the Weber's rating of Very Good. On the Weber SmokeFire EX6, you'll need to do the extra work of rotating the pie to get even results. Temperature range: Pellet grills are not for searing; they simply don't get hot enough.
Where are Pit Boss grills made? Pit Boss is a subsidiary of Dansons Inc., which also makes Louisiana Grills. It manufactures Pit Boss in China.
Who should buy this grill? If you are an early adopter and don't mind going through some teething pains, the SmokeFire has the potential to be a great grill. I believe that Weber will get all these issues ironed out, and the grill will eventually become one of the best pellet grills on the market.
Good taste, bad quality controlAt the price per pound you'd expect higher quality on the cut length. I'm on my second bag for my EX4, and I'm finding multiple pellets that are cut too long. They do have a great taste but having to sort through the hopper to find the ones that are too long is a pain.
Faulty hardware, a crappy app, flameouts, and flare-ups —these are all problems Weber should have figured out before seemingly rushing the SmokeFire to market. Now, as we head into the end of prime grilling season for a lot of us, the company has largely fixed most of them—at least in the unit I received.
