Survivor was criticized last year for moving too slowly to address a series of sexual harassment allegations against a male contestant. As a result, the show announced changes to its production process, stating, "sexual harassment and impermissible biases cannot be brought into the competition."
Spilo, a 48-year-old Hollywood agent, was removed from the game on day 36 after an incident in which he touched a female producer's thigh as he was getting into a transport boat — weeks after he was accused of inappropriately touching contestant Kellee Kim.

Eliminated castaways are taken away from Tribal Council and interviewed by a psychiatrist for debriefing, after which they proceed to a medical tent where the castaway undergoes a medical examination which includes treatment of wounds incurred during the game and comparison of pre- and post-game weight.
You only have a final tribal council because they are two people left and they can't vote each other out. The juror acts as the tool that votes that last person off the island and designates the sole survivor. The final 3 allows for an extra person to get into the finals.

Ozzy Lusth and Amanda Kimmel. Lusth and Kimmel met on Survivor season 16, Survivor: Micronesia, where a showmance quickly developed. They continued dating after cameras stopped rolling, but eventually split.
The people who vote on the ultimate fate of the final three, the Jury members, receive $40,000, while the final two Survivor Contestants receive $1110,000 while the winner walks off with $1 million in total.
Despite the chatter about the show being scripted, the makers believed that there was no harm in touching up a few things if it means getting better shots for the show. Now, the contestants are chosen depending on how well they know the show since it saves time if they already know how everything works.
Survivor contestants don't get to fly home to their families right after they leave the game. Instead, they go to Ponderosa, a jury holding area where they wait to vote for the show's winner. Even castaways who are voted out very early, and not on the jury, go to Ponderosa.
