If you can hear audio from your Ring Doorbell on your phone, but no sound is traveling from your phone to the Ring Doorbell, it is possible that the Ring app does not have access to your microphone. Follow the steps below for iOS (Apple) or Android to enable notifications.
The microphone on the Ring Doorbell may not be enabled and therefore, you will not be able to receive and hear any sound. Therefore, ensure that the microphone has been enabled on the device, by going to the Ring Doorbell app and toggling the microphone button.
The Range Extenders can be daisy chained as needed, extending the range 250 ft open range for every extender. For the Ring Security Cameras, this range will be based off of your wifi signal.
If the video is black, this could indicate the problem is located between the Ring device and its connection with the Ring servers. If the video plays back normally, this indicates the problem is happening in the Ring application and could be caused by a poor connection between your mobile device and the internet.

Simply connect the Power Supply wires to the back of the Ring PRO and plug it in. By bypassing the doorbell transformer, you should be able to eliminate the buzzing. However, you will have to buy the Ring Chime to have a doorbell ring in your home.
Most of the doorbell circuit is “low-voltage” current that won't give you a shock if you come in contact with the wires. Faulty electrical wiring does not only cause fires but could also result in electrocution if you touch an exposed wire.
the transformer makes a decent amount of noise. I am assuming the noise is from the vibration of it not being very secure to the box. (Also if I hold it down by hand there is still some light noise)
Doorbell transformers are usually located outside the home along the siding or on a wall in the garage. They may also be fixed to a wall in the basement or closet near the front door or entryway. If you don't see it in any of these places, check the walls in the attic. It may be tucked behind the insulation.
A reading of 16 volts indicates the transformer works properly. Less than 16 volts indicates the transformer needs replacing. Touch each probe of a low-voltage test light to each screw head on the transformer if you are not using a multimeter. If the lamp fails to light, the transformer is bad.
One of the privacy features on Ring devices allows you to disable the audio streaming and recording functions of your device. Tap the Audio Streaming and Recording toggle.
Turn off Ring Chime or Ring Chime ProYou'll need to use the Ring app (works on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android) to access the Chime settings: Start up the Ring App on your smartphone or computer. Select the Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro you want to turn off. Next, click on Chime Snooze.
Re: On the Ring Door bell Pro what are the 3 red lights below the push button. Hey neighbors! These lights you see are the Infra Red lights that the camera uses to help with the Night Vision for the device.
So, why is my ring doorbell flashing red? The red flashing light on ring doorbell indicated that the device battery is low and it needs to be recharged.
This is something that is currently obtainable through the audio settings of the Base station and Keypad in the Ring App. Turning the volume down completely on both will ensure for a silent changing of Alarm modes.
Although you can put a Wi-Fi extender between the router and doorbell, the ring chime unit is a better solution. The chime makes it possible for people without smartphones hearing the doorbell chiming inside the house. It's a wireless device that can be connected to all the ring devices you have.
Doorbell systems may be wired, which are connected to your home's electrical system, or wireless, which are usually battery-powered and transmit a radio signal to the chime. Doorbell systems consist of a button, a transformer and a chime unit.
There is an additional settings screen via the button marked “Device Settings”. From here, click on “General Settings”, and then “Doorbell Chime Type”. Make sure “Mechanical” is chosen in the drop-down menu, and that “Ring my in-home doorbell” is selected to on position (to the right).
In installing the wire of the doorbell, the wire should be run to the back of each buzzer to the so-called doorbell transformer. The wiring of the doorbell requires a doorbell transformer which can be connected to a circuit with 20 volts of power. The doorbell transformer helps in reducing electric voltage by 12 volts.
Most often the doorbell is on the the same level as the door, in a place where the sound can easily travel further. (Near staircase or opening to common living area). They can be right in the stairwells of multi floor residences to be best heard throughout the house.
