Point the remote control at the television, and press and hold the "Up Arrow" button. At the same time, press and release the "Power" button on the television. Your television will reset to its factory settings, and the red light will no longer blink.
Solid or blinking while the TV is on:
A solid Green or White light on the front of the television means that the TV power is on. A Green or White light that blinks when you press a button on the remote control simply shows that the TV is receiving the signal from the remote. Not all televisions have this feature.There could be a variety of reasons: Someone presses a remote with the same code. Your TV has a “sleep” timer, so it turns off. Something overheats or is wrong, so it shuts off to protect itself.

LCD screen flicker can also be caused by a loose or failing connection inside of the television set. The flicker may come from a failing connection ribbon or another electrical component that's near failing. Flickering caused by internal connection problems appears consistently regardless of the video source.
Sharp TV Reset Sequence: Start but pressing the “menu” button on the TV. A message should appear to input secret number. Press and hold both the “VOL (+)” and the CH DOWN on the TV set until the message disappears. This should reset all passwords and settings.

- Click the firmware for your television model, then click "OK" and "Save."
If you press the power button on the TV itself, does the red light blink or have any changes? Try unplugging it from the electrical outlet, and while its unplugged hold down the power button on the TV for 45-60 seconds, then releasing and plugging back in.

If the remote control still does not work, reset the remote control by removing the batteries. Then press and hold the POWER BUTTON for 30 seconds. Insert the new batteries and press TV and POWER to turn “On” the television.
Press the "Menu" button on the front of your Sharp TV. This will allow you to access the menu for your television without a remote. When the menu appears on screen, use the "Channel" buttons to move up and down, the "Volume" buttons to move left and right and the "Input" buttons to select items.
Programming Sharp Aquos Remotes
Turn on the device that you want to control with the remote control. Starting with the television is the best and most common option. Press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the type of device you are programming. At the same time, press and hold the Display button.Check to see if the television is still plugged in the AC wall outlet. If you have a universal remote control, be sure to select “TV Mode” on the remote control. If the remote control still does not work, reset the remote control by removing the batteries. Then press and hold the POWER BUTTON for 30 seconds.
