Vaporwave is a microgenre of electronic music, a visual art style, and an Internet meme that emerged in the early 2010s. It is defined partly by its slowed-down, chopped and screwed samples of smooth jazz, elevator, R&B, and lounge music from the 1980s and 1990s.
Vaporwave feels distant- hollow- A E S T H E T I C. As Lofi is ambient, mellow, and has good beats to study too. In a lot of cases, same as with techno, the term "vaporwave" is used as a generic term, and I have no problem with that.
Firstly, what is Vaporwave music? Vaporwave is based on samples of older electronic music or sounds that are still under copyright, so the possibility of selling it is a legal nightmare for royalty-free music / stock music creators and producers.
It takes old sounds or music ideas birthed from consumer culture and re-contextualizes them out of the music computing limitations of the time. Many are quick to judge vaporwave as it being a "joke". It'll probably never be mainstream, but it is definitely the best example of postmodern music yet.
"Outrun" is a synonym of synthwave that was later used to refer more generally to retro 1980s aesthetics such as VHS tracking artifacts, magenta neon, and gridlines. The term comes from the 1986 driving arcade game Out Run, which was known for its soundtrack that could be selected in-game.
Basically, Simpsonwave constitutes a genre of YouTube videos that collage classic "Simpsons” moments with vaporwave tracks. Overlaid on these clips are the classic vaporwave sounds of John Carpenter synths, cheesy muzak saxophones, and skittering drum machines, making the otherwise strange edits feel complete.
Synthwave (also known as Outrun) is a particular aesthetic that draws a lot of inspiration from the 1980s. While it does often get lumped in with Vaporwave, there are significant differences between the two genres.
Vaporwave has a lot in common with punk, a genre often aligned with anarchy and anti-capitalism. Like punk, it's relatively easy and cheap to make, it's unapologetically derivative (vaporwave is usually based on a pre-existing song), and often deliberately mocks highbrow culture.
The first vaporwave songs were originally posted to online platforms such as Tumblr and Reddit in 2010. Electronic artist Oneohtrix Point Never's (OPN) “Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1” is widely considered to be the first-ever vaporwave album.
Also known in some quarters as 'hypnogogic drift,' post-internet is a branch of vaporwave revolving around computerised abstraction and futuristic, almost dystopian soundscapes.

The most common rate of slowing down music to make it vaporwave is anywhere from 20-60 BPM slower than the original, and if it has vocals, make sure that it's slow enough to where the vocals sound eerie and almost nightmarish, and let that be your reference to how much to slow your track down.
If you are a fan of the Vaporwave genre you must have knowledge of the song Resonance by Home, this song is part of an album called Odyssey, which was released in 2014, and to this day it is still the most representative song of the Vaporwave genre, and this is largely due to the nostalgic feeling that the track evokes
We are all beginning to migrate at this stage of our life in one aspect or another, creating new milestones for ourselves. Right now, is the prime time for our minds to start triggering these nostalgic feelings as we begin to gain a sense of homesickness and perhaps even loneliness.
The adjective nostalgic is often used to describe someone who is homesick and wants to be back at home with family. It always involves a wistful memory of times that now seem better or simpler. A nostalgic feeling can involve home and family, but it can also involve a longing for long-gone moments.
Nostalgia helps increase one's self-esteem and meaning in life by buffering threats to well-being and also by initiating a desire to deal with problems or stress. Routledge (2011) and colleagues found that nostalgia correlates positively with one's sense of meaning in life.
Fernweh translates as ?“farsickness” and refers to ?“feeling homesick for a place you've never been or could never go.” (Sidenote: Germans really do have some of the best words for strange, random, and abstract concepts.)
Hiraeth is a Cymraeg (Welsh) word which doesn't translate well into English. It is a deep longing for home. This poem makes an attempt at defining it. It is pronounced with two syllables.
the state of being homesick
1 Answer. The first word that comes to my mind is forward-looking (already mentioned by Silenus above), though it sounds a little clumsy somehow.
Longing is defined as “a yearning desire.” (I love that.) The intensity and level of emotional charge that a feeling or experience has, often matches the level of self growth and change that can manifest from it. Within that space, where the feeling of longing lives, is where you can create some big shifts from within.
Apparently, there isn't a word with this exact definition. Saudade (Portuguese): a somewhat melancholic feeling of incompleteness; longing for something that might never return.
