The White House - Washington DC. The White House is located exactly between two Metro stations: McPherson Square Station and Farragut West Station. Both stations are on the Orange, Silver, and Blue Lines of the Metro System. Another alternative is Metro Center Station, but you will have to walk a little further.
You can't drive in front of or behind the White House so you would have to get out for that I think. You can see the White House from Constitution Ave. if you drive slowly, but it's off in the distance and from some parts of the street obscured by trees.
