Turn the TV Box off and leave TV on. Press Menu on the TV Box or remote control. Using the down arrow, navigate to Closed Captioning. Press the right arrow to Enabled or Disabled.
To turn this feature off:
- Open the “Home” menu. Double your web browsing speed with today's sponsor.

E-POP is a program that runs in the top left hand corner for stores to open when displaying a model on their show floor and is technically and advertising utility for Samsung. It is typically pre-installed with various Samsung laptop models and is not required and can be removed.
If you have an app that is freezing, not loading, or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV, updating your TV's software, deleting and downloading the app again, and a completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue with the app.

There are 2 ways to terminate a TV application: Through user interaction, when the user long-presses the remote control "Return/Exit" key. Long-pressing the "Return/Exit" key forces the application to terminate. Do not register the "Return/Exit" key long-press.
The volume bar can be permanently removed from the screen in the [Setup menu] -> [Installation] -> [Preferences] -> [Volume bar] -> [OFF]. You can also minimize the display to the top left corner of the screen.
When images display properly on your screen but no audio plays, the Speaker Select setting may be incorrect. The Speaker Select setting allows you to choose between using an external device or your Samsung TV's internal speakers for audio output. Select "TV Speaker," and then set the TV Speaker option to "On."
Internal Problems
Many Samsung TV models have an internal mute setting. This setting permanently mutes the volume on the TV itself so you can listen to the audio through an external sound system. If the internal mute sets to "On," you will not hear sound through the TV.
