In the case, thumbnails are still not showing at all on Windows 10, chances are that someone or something messed up with your folder settings. Click Options to open Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Make sure to clear the check mark for the Always show icons, never thumbnails option.
One solution that was mentioned was: change the size of the Preview Pane to the way you want, then go to Tools > Folder Options > View, and then click "Apply to Folders". Then click OK.
Actually, preview feature has not completely vanished from windows 10. Its just that, they have changed the default app for pictures from Windows Photo Viewer to Photos App.
First, open Windows Explorer, click on View, then click on Options and Change folder and search options. Next, click on the View tab and uncheck the box that says Always show icons, never thumbnails. Once you get rid of that checked option, you should now get thumbnails for all your pictures, videos and even documents.
To move the Details pane to the bottom of the File Explorer window, check the “Show details pane at the bottom” box in the Appearance section of the OldNewExplorer configuration dialog box. The details pane now displays at the bottom of the window, restoring your horizontal space.
The Details pane shows either the AccuRev elements in a selected directory, or the results of an AccuRev search. Information displayed on the Details pane includes the element's name, AccuRev status, and version. Click a column header to sort items in the list by that column.
